Why not use the texture layer to paint over the wrinkles? Why use the color layer?

Hi! It's a very nice video!! Also a GREAT Picture!! Can I see a Picture of the Settings of your flash? I mean.. if it's in TTL Mode, or M, or which one? I'm just starting at Lightning and I'm a bit confuse! (I also have the AD300 PRO) TIA!!! :)

All depends on what you are trying to achieve? Are you per say trying to overpower the sun or just using fill flash? Yes in bright sun using ND filters for large aperture makes sense, but in good light like shade, HSS is fine. When I’m in this situation I am usually dialing down flash compensation while using HSS. I only want a kiss of light to remove racc oon eyes.

First and foremost, thank you for your teachings on photography. Your work is amazing. I shoot with a Nikon d3300 and I also have a Lumix gh4 with a speed booster for Nikon lenses. Just starting in flash portraits and I'm lost...lol... I have a 3 set of newer n300w lights and I tried practicing with them. But I'm looking to get a portable flash. What's the flash you recommend? For high sync I might buy a used Nikon d7000.

Great video, as always! Would love if you shared what power setting you used to balance the light with the 600? And really curious your reasoning for choosing the 600. I could have swore last year you said you were trying to go lighter and start shifting to the AD300? Was it battery, convenience, or just flex'n for the video? Maybe in a future video you could do this same shoot, but show the difference of the 100 - 600. (hint, hint) And love to see a rim light added in too.

Do you prefer to use the bare bulb or fresnel head when shooting outside with the AD200 pro? I heard the fresnel head amps up the power by almost a stop, but the light spread is not as nice as the bare bulb. I'm wondering if there is still a noticeable difference in the light spread when utilizing the SMDV flip double diffused soft box as a modifier?

Was that session with the model in the red dress really shot with the Godox TT600? I didn't think it would have the power for full body length portraits when used with a softbox.

I can certainly see that not using HSS certainly helps (more power to you!)

I love my 35-150mm for quick portrait sessions like this, you can get so many different looks through the 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, & 135mm focal lengths with one lens!

I love how you embrace AI as a tool to help, instead of running away from it like some purists do. I believe that as long as AI is used responsibly and thoughtfully, it can help our work go a long way. (I shoot concert photography, btw, and AI has helped my work tremendously.)

Enloop batteries are double AA that are lithium and rechargeable. Ive been using them for years at full power. I don't know photographers rhat use regular double AA batteries. That's wasteful & risky.

IMHO half exposed photo was caused by HSS unable to finish sequence. (e.g. it flashed for half of the frame, and charged for the rest)

Just went through some of your videos and love your work. Your post editing is really good. Noticed that you used to use 6d and I love the colors of that camera. It would be interesting to do a shoot with both. I shoot A7 too. But I just love the skin tones and the feel of 6d. Is it my imagination? Keep up the great work.

Amazing shots for sure!. Looks like an AD600 or similar that you've used - would be interested to hear what power setting you had to use to get these shots ?.
