Can’t remember if I’ve commented before but it’s so nice to see another maker who UKCA marks their plushie toys. Will be looking into the Bernat yarn in the new year I think!

I was wondering something, and i don't know if it's only me. But do all velvet/ chenille yarns that are marked "baby something" (like baby snuggle) shed like hell? 😅

Most of them shed, some are definitely worse than others! The Yarnsmiths Chenille doesn’t shed much at all, but Parfait Chunky/JellyBaby/Dolce etc. all shed quite a bit. I don’t usually mind too much now but when I first started I found it difficult! 🧶

I've read that Bernat Blanket and Bernat Baby Blanket are identical, it's just the branding, and colours that are different.

I think Baby Blanket definitely feels softer to touch, but the thickness and everything else is identical!

Hello! Sorry I didn't see this straightaway, I hope you've managed to do them! They took me ages the first time, you use the stitch marker to basically make two new rounds. You work on one first, finish it off and then reattach the yarn to the two stitches that have the stitch marker in and make the other eye bump! I was trying to find a video to show you but I can't see one, sorry!

I always use a 7mm crochet hook for these, my favourite is the Clover Amour hook! 🧶

Ooh furls metal hooks are beautiful to work with and they gave me a discount code for my next purchase which was a bonus. The only thing I do find with them is if I’m doing small pieces to sew on I need more resistance so use a regular hook for that but I love the furls, they’re high on my Christmas list x

@@lk2861 haha, I’m glad you’re excited to try it! I love Bernat Baby Blanket, it’s so lovely to work with. I use a 7mm for my octopuses or a 6.5 for my XL loaf cats, either works well for me. I yarn under, it took me ages to get used to it but I prefer how the stitches look! 💕

Great video ! I have been crocheting for years and I have never heard of ami sticks! They sound pretty useful though. Also never heard of those Furls hooks, wow, they are spenny but I am intrigued. Thank you for all the recommendations :)

Thank you so much!! I hadn’t heard of ami sticks until I saw someone using them on Instagram, but they’re so useful! I use them any time I need to sew one piece to another! I haven’t bought a Furls hook yet but they’re calling my name, they’re so pretty. ❤

Hello! I use quite a few, my favourite chenille yarns are Wolan’s Bunny Baby, Yarnsmiths Chenille (amazing because it hardly sheds!), YarnArt Dolce and Cygnet Jellybaby. For the chunky blanket yarn I either use Bernat Blanket or Yarnsmiths Snug as a Bug! I hope that helps 😊 🧶 ❤
