You dont show how you take a photo holding the tape - thats why most resellers have a board to lay garment and measurement tool on

Please be warned, Mercari is evil! They do not support sellers in the event of a dispute and make it very easy for buyers to take advantage of you. I showed evidence in photo and video that the buyer was lying but they could care less. Please see reviews by other sellers before you decide to join the app to sell stuff… you will do yourself a favor if you never join Mercari!

I had proof in video and photos and Mercari did not try to get my side of the story, they just immediately approved the return and completely ignored my consumer rights. HORRIBLE AND SAD EXPERIENCE. Please stay away from this platform or you will pay dearly sooner or later.

I know this is a little late but I recently ran into a major problem that has no solution. Everything written or posted about this is not true. This has to do with listing an item. About a half hour ago of this message, I tried listing an insta360 one X camera I the following error message that has some seriously major problems here is the message Please check that your listing adheres to our Authenticity Guidelines policy. Here are the problems: Problem 1: There is no direct link to the policy from inside Mercari that I can find. I found a link to the policy by copying that error message into google to find out wtf that was about. Problem 2: The policy has random unrelated statements that are just there and have no actual point, Going to the policy and reading it, doesn't remove the error message. yet you're told to check the policy without having any idea what you're supposed to be checking. Problem 3: Despite it's posted right on Mercari's site, that only designer things require authentication, any other items authentication is optional but that is totally false, the item I listed isn't a designer item, it's a damn camera and I still got the Authentication error. There is also no way to skip that message so the item can be listed Problem 4: Both Mercari and people say there yoiu can pay Mercari $5 to have them verify the item, except there is no option or place you can submit/pay $5 to have someone look at it. So far every single thing surrounding this error message has been false.

I hate when people measure the bust legth and garment length. Useless information for how something fits on your body. Inseam on pants? Helpful. Bust measurements on different fabrics/fits/styles...garbage

So let me get this straight even if I made no money on these items I sold and I am selling them lower then what I bought them at. I know even though I owe no taxes have to report this to the IRS and prove I didn't make any money. And I am now forced to pay for a higher tier turbo tax plan that costs more money to get access to the correct forms. And no one compensates me for having to spend more money on tax software.

How did they hold up? Would a sealant make them last longer? I have an older scuffed pair and was thinking about fully painting the bottom, but nervous about peeling and chipping. I've only tried painting faux leather shoes.

I dont understand how most of the selling apps charge sales tax to buyers already. I dont ever see where the tax they collected goes into my pocket. And the seller pays the apps a sellling fee on top of that. Do the selling apps profit off the sales tax they charge? Offerup charges 13% comission on the sale. Amazon marketplace its hard to make a profit. Seems like they make more profit from the sale than the seller. Good thing MERCARI doesn't charge selling fees lately unlike the other selling apps out there.
