Great work. Your videos are well explained. Can you make please a video how to replace a turbocharger by 2.7 v6 diesel discovery 3 without body removal? Or a video related with glow plugs replacement? Thanks👍

The tip was the result of a completely badly thought to mod. That lift was far too high for such a narrow and top heavy vehicle. That plus a full length rack on the roof is an accident waiting to happen if you don't look at widening the track. You were lucky you were in a relatively safe and slow pace when it rolled.
@djmikeb4207 жыл бұрын
the Mod was not the problem. It was driver error and a bad line to take. As you can clearly see the other disco has the same amount of lift, took a better line and made it safe.
@jhamilton73737 жыл бұрын
djmikeb420 bad line or not, the lifted height of these is too much for the narrow track. It wasn't even leaning all that far which only goes to demonstrate how precarious a narrow 'over lifted, vehicle can be.
@djmikeb4207 жыл бұрын
It is not "over lifted". Have you even been on this trail? For fuck sake man!, have you no dignity? This driver made a common mistake and hit the brake when he should have let it roll out. The fact you blame the lift is cruel and unusual. And by this sir, I question your loyalty to the Off Road game. Is it not good enough he and his family survived the roll over?
@jhamilton73737 жыл бұрын
djmikeb420 cruel and unusual? well are you not the master of hyperbole. What would even prompt you to think that am referring to anything remotley related to the guys family. It is quite clear to see that the track of this vehicle is disproportionate to the lift. Its centre of gravity is too high for what he is expecting it to do. Yes it was a bad line but the mod exacerbated the issue of the high centre of gravity. If we are talking about safety I think that it is irresponsible not to consider widening the track before going for height and clearance. It also looks like the dampers were buggered. The amount of bounce and wobble is breathtaking. Seriously the green vehicle was wobbling for a full second or so after a manoeuvre was executed. Again an accident waiting to happen.
@djmikeb4207 жыл бұрын
You never answered my question sir, have you been on this trail? probably not because its not the bunny slope trail. So my next question sir, have you ever seen this Disco in person?
@lror8 жыл бұрын
jumping on the brakes is a bad idea, it shifts the weight of the vehicle. Although counter-intuitive stay of the brakes and even slight amount of gas pedal helps.

What size tires are these?
@JayDee-bz2ge8 жыл бұрын
Had one. SOOOO top heavy / edge heavy. The doors weigh over 100 pounds each .... These need better sway control and wider offset wheels at least.. A sawzall to the fender wells, and you can get the tires in there without a stork looking lift.....

Welcome to the landrovers weakness. Land rover owners will go on for hours about how it's a aluminium body shell and how it's got perfect weight and balance blah blah but every off road site I go to has at least one land rover discovery on its side by the end of the day.
