I feel sad for dream.Dream had lost his brother and have to fight him to keep the multiverse safe. I seen a lot of people sympathizing with nightmare but it’s sad to see not many people thing about dream’s state 😢

i’ve got a question, why isn’t underswap sans upset? or is it just related to dream’s relationship with nightmare as to why he’s upset. or does he feel things more strongly than underswap so stress hits him harder

@@pingutune it's related to nightmare, yes :3 i didn't emphasize it because it's meant to be subtle but this is centric around dream's values being so black and white that even his comrades find disappointment in him it's a whole thing i got going on in my head but that's the gist of it!

@@Advenit647 thank you for answering, that makes a lot of sense! i got the feeling that dream was unable to let go something, that he tries so hard to do the right thing constantly that he bends himself out of shape. it's one of my favorite character tropes where a character handles complexity poorly, thank you for the brainrot 🙏

oh my gawd... i would literally love to hear ur ideas about dream this is so wonderful. fanon often portrays him as the perfectly untraumatized goodie two shoes dream or the evil toxic bad brother (where on earth did this portrayal come from...) dream and it's so refreshing to see a take on him that isn't so black and white!! he's doing the best he can but he doesn't know how to navigate the world anymore after 500 years of missing out... i feel like you captured the insanities of his life so well and i'm really glad to have found this video. fantastic work!! great job!

My au Dream relates to this, he took up a smoking, drinking, and drug addiction all soon after Nightmare became corrupted, so bad that sometimes Nightmare would come up behind him finding Dream passed out drunk bucase he was making enough negative energy for Nightmare to come through. But instead of attacking him he decided to let him be, Nightmare knew what he was doing was hurting Dream, and at first he relished in Dreams pain. Then he saw the emotional and physical toll it took on Dream and he decided that his brother needed help. Though he never got him any. And his form of helping was kidnapping him and sort of “hanging out” with him. He never realized how much it helped Dream.
