No, it’s not difficult to replace. If you have the special tool to disconnect those non-screw-type fittings, the rest is just normal nuts and bolts. (As I remember from quite some years ago 😇)

Thanks for the video. How is the ride height after conversion? I need to replace the rear suspension in my 98 V70R and think converting will be a good deal cheaper than paying 340 dollars or so for each individual nivomat sbock. what springs and shocks did you go with, do you have part numbers?

My bump stop has come off but my suspension is brand new does the bump stop just pop back into place or I have to take whole thing out
@kvcuijck2 жыл бұрын
I don't think it just pops back into place. Maybe it wasn't seated correctly in the first place? It was a bit of a fiddle putting the yellow bumpstop onto that black/plastic/abs part. Maybe it can be done without removing the springs or maybe just without the shocks as I think this gives you a bit more clearance/space between the coils of the spring. For sure on most used cars those bumpstops float around in the center of the spring or are completely missing....

Wij zouden graag de nivomats onder de auto zetten ipv de standaard dempers. Hebben we dan ook speciale schotels nodig?
@kvcuijck2 жыл бұрын

@kvcuijck3 жыл бұрын

No. I have never seen a European manual car using engine oil for gearboxes. Normally these gearboxes use Gearbox Oil like a 75W90 type. Lookup the exact specifications in your workshop manual.

I just spent my Sunday wresting with wheel locks. Ultimately got them off by hammering on a socket just slightly smaller than the diameter of the locking lug. These locks are so stupid - taking them off any car I own.

Great video you have, I'm curious because I got the code 00604 for the g113 flap motor. Would this cause my A/C to not work if this piece was faulty?
@kvcuijck4 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry, but I don’t have the knowledge of this car to tell you if the G113 flap motor could be the cause of your A/C not functioning. However I do not expect a faulty flap motor to result in a non working A/C system when all other components are functional. If there is cold air but it’s not delivered to the right vents, then I would suspect a flap motor. Usually A/C won’t turn on when the blower motor under the dash isn’t turning or when there are mechanical A/C components or refrigerant issues under the hood... Good luck hunting! 💪
@wolfmooo65014 жыл бұрын
@@kvcuijck I believe you are right, I'm having some other codes thrown at me like the A/C pressure switch, along with this V71 motor. I'm going to guess that the motor must not be working properly because of some weird sounds it makes when i hit the recirculation button and not to mention the code it threw at me. Thanks for the tips!
@treysilver47984 жыл бұрын
WolfMooo I am having the same issue, did you ever get it resolved??
@wolfmooo65014 жыл бұрын
@@treysilver4798 Hi, I thought I was having electrical issues, but @Koen is right, the A/C not working isn't because of the flap motor, the flap motor just controls where the air flow goes. I'm almost certain mine is starting to have issues because I can hear it making noise behind my glovebox. The only thing I can think of is replacing the flap motor if that code is appearing, because there is a sensor behind there that controls it. My A/C not working could be that my compressor is bad, at the time I had asked, I had just gotten the car and didn't know much about it and after much research, it's definitely something within the A/C system and not the flap motor, those are two separate things.
@treysilver47984 жыл бұрын
WolfMooo okay makes sense! The weird thing with mine is that everything seems functional (compressor, compressor clutch, etc.) but the only code that is being pulled is the 00604. But I’m planning on replacing that tomorrow and going from there. Just keep me updated if you find out anything!
