Just found a brand new one of these babies on the bused rack at my local shop. It's a beautiful disc, can't wait to throw it. I love the star Gator for my over stable mid and hoping this will be a bit more v stable.

It's called slope distance. Compared to straight line horizontal distance.

Not necessarily true. Dome vs flat. Edge has almost as much to do with turn vs fade. I can manipulate a disc to have a dome but the edge is still flat and it flys like a firebird but more glide. MVP is good example for no dome but flys like a domey destroyer. But that is their gyro extra weight on outside

How come my shoulder hurts after throwing forehand? Sore for a week
@McSlobo2 ай бұрын
Late comment but it holds 6-7 putters, 17 drivers/mids in main and you can add 5-6 discs in side pocket plus 1-2 under the slap plus 1-2 in main compartment on top/behind other which makes maximum capacity of 34 discs. I would say the usability is 0 then. I would recommend max 5 putters, 15 in main and maybe 4 in big pocket for comfort, i.e. 24 discs. If you put discs too tight you risk finger injury like I just had, breaking my thumbnail.

I just received a Rufus. I'm a medium-sized dude and a novice to the sport. So far, it's the best bag I've ever owned.

Absolutely Awesome video and great execution on instruction and what that problem actually looks like. The “opening up the hips” I honestly didn’t understand until now. Thanks Mr. Freeman

Best explanation ever! Added 25-50' first time out today after a little bit of fieldwork yesterday. Actually had several birdie attempts on par 3s that I'm usually happy with par.

But how do you just do that? It's great that i know what to do, but how do you just open up the hips or have a gap like that? I try when i throw normally and it just doesn't work, there's no gap, even when i try to exaggerate it.

I don’t think there’s a set rule that works for everyone, everyone throws different relative to your exposure to throwing sports as a youth. I think it’s almost a disadvantage if you played football or baseball for any amount of time and then switch to disc sports. Some of these guys that look like they have been playing video games their whole life (cuz they have) actually have a fresh untainted form focused solely on throwing a disc.

Love this video. One of my big frustrations with people who try to teach me how to throw (I know they mean well and are trying to help) is that there seems to be this secret disc gold language that highlights symptoms and not causes. I get told I'm reaching back too far, but I don't get told that I need to try and not overcurl my shoulder. I get told that I'm throwing nose up, but don't get told that it's because I'm reaching back to high and "dipping". You have a mindset that allows you to pull out what is relevant and helpful here, and it's awesome. Gonna work on this tonight.

Lifetime warranty? The warranty department doesn’t respond to emails. My Rufus bag is fairly new and has a warranty issue. Pretty disappointed at this point. 😢

Lift is the force that causes a disc to TURN due to gyroscopic precession. The domier a disc is the more lift will be generated. However, the domier a disc is the more drag will be generated. It's a balancing act that is influenced by the Rim Configuration. Angular velocity (aka spin) influences how resistance the disc is to varying from it's path. One aspect of discs that hasn't been talked about much is the flight plate thickness. The PDGA requires that it can be no more then 5mm. The force that resists angular torque is the Moment of Inertia. The higher the MOI, the more torque has to be applied to get the same angular velocity. MOI is influenced by the ration of rim mass vs flight plate mass. The thicker the flight plate is, the more mass it has which lowers the MOI. A disc with lower MOI is easier to hyzer flip. Temperature and elevation affect air density. air density influences airflow over the disc. airflow over the disc influences LIFT. At higher elevations or colder temperatures discs create less lift because of the decrease in airflow due to lower air density.
