A nice way to close off analog tv during The Simpsons credits before the Gracie Films logo appeared.

Fun fact: The guy who actually flipped the switch to end the analog signal, MrHalfox is his channel name, has this video on his favorites playlist. He has a video where you can see the behind the scenes at the exact moment the switch is flipped.

Thanks for mentioning that. Here's a link to MrHalfox's video of the channel 5 and channel 9 analog shutdown, from the engineers' POV on 6/12/09: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJmXZ3muYt5gbKM

Many people dont know this, but both the twin towers and the empire state building has a thing in common, and that is that both of them have had planes flown into them. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1945_Empire_State_Building_B-25_crash

Who's now here following the death of WCBS 880?
@stephenholloway68935 ай бұрын
So now it's WCBS' turn to end their AM station. Ironically to another sports talk station ESPN Radio. The other irony here is that today both stations WFAN and the soon to be former WCBS has the same owner. Yes the call letters of WCBS is changing as well. That owner by the way is Audacy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: there is detailed footage from 9/11 that is kept from the public to protect next of kin. Look at the detail in this footage! And during that infamous Tuesday, the choppers would have flown much closer.

@kiotr20098 ай бұрын
What white things? The small dishes at the base of the tower are microwave dishes used by the broadcasters and were there all along. The dozens of whip antennas mounted on the flat deck of the roof were also there for a long time. Two-way radio antennas.
