That paper towel holder needs to GO! 🙄 This kitchen would have had flour sack towels sewn together, three of them, and hung onto a rolling pin type holder on the wall.

The flooring in the kitchen, though, and I LOVE that you saved the old sink. Ditto the bathroom. 💝💝💝💝💝💝

Holy crap....I just found your channel because I am getting to do my 2nd old house reno. I saw a political sign in one of the pictures, and I know where you are! I'm 15 minutes away. We need to be friends!

Two nit-picky thoughts come to mind: 1. Where are the trash/waste receptacles? 2. I like to open/close my windows and the location of your sink makes that kitchen window an issue, not to mention that it won't take much time at all before dust, debris, and dead insects/spiders begin to accumulate behind the sink and in front of the window. In such an otherwise perfect and creative restoration/renovation, that sink placement is the one thing I'd never get accustomed to. The locations of the microwave and dishwasher(s), are wonderful, and I'm particularly impressed with how you mimicked the support brackets on the butler's pantry cupboard. There's a lot to like about that clever idea.

I have over 30 year old Rollex vinyl siding on our house that was put on a our house new other than it faded just like any product but the only issue was the installation was not good. After getting it fixed I think it would easily last another 30 years but just want a different look and will definitely go with vinyl siding again. Who wants LP SmartSide siding which is only glued wood chips that is painted that will fail as soon as it absorbs water or cement board that cracks. We got 30 years on vinyl siding with no problems that should tell you the other siding is junk and all you are doing is throwing your money out the window.

It looks LOVELY! And, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU, for not ripping out everything original, and turning it into 'Light, Bright, Modern 21st Century'. I know people can do what they want with their houses, but honestly it makes my skin crawl, when all original character is ripped out.

Is there a way to show you pictures of my tub????
@RollerRoy

I think the feet on my tub should be secured with a nail, i wish i could show you but i can’t post pictures here. The rail that receives the tongue has a top at the end that wont allow a clip and it has a hole in it, like a nail is supossed to go through.

Finally.... a house restoration and not a horrifying "update", "renovation" or (shudder) "transformation!". And believe me, every one of those renovation "designers" was as obnoxious and pretentious as their end product.

Wow! I just bought a 1920 Craftsman home that is VERY similar to this that oddly enough, didn't have the front porch rail like yours did originally! I'd be interested to learn what did you use for that front porch rail? Did you find reclaimed front porch rail or did you simply build it yourself from new lumber? Thanks in advance!
