Hi. Do you sterlise clam before putting in the tank. Or any other methods please specify. I know they are not ckean enough to put in the aquarium.

Mine is shriveled up for 5-8 hours after the lights are off for the night. Is that normal ?
@Breezyreef3 жыл бұрын
Totally normal behavior, so long as it opens back up when lighting cycle resumes.

How do you get your anemone to stay on live rock do you glue ? I've had trouble trying to get mine to attach
@highdeserturbanhomestead3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely no glue! That would hurt if not kill the anemone. You really can’t control where it goes, as it’s an invertebrate that can move on its own. It settles in a spot it prefers depending on flow and light. If you can safely retrieve the anemone, you can attempt to get it to attach to a desired location but no guarantee it will stay!

Just bought a little frag today for my first coral after cycling. Dipped it in Revive and also in hydrogen peroxide because the little rock had a little green algae on it. So its closed up pretty tight at the moment but we will see how it looks tomorrow.

Thanks for this tip, purchased a copperband a weeks ago from one of my local LFS and a few days later after not eating it didn’t make it. Unfortunately it was my son’s favorite fish, so I went to a different store got a larger copperband. After a day of not eating I dropped in a clam and it want nuts over it. Thanks for the tip and hopefully it leads to a fat and happy copperband
@Breezyreef5 жыл бұрын
That's awesome and a good start! It's not practical having the clam be the only option. Do the clam for a while, then try dicing some up and see if you can get the CBB to take from the water column. Then transition to frozen mysis, etc...

Love your video. I'm picking up this cube tomorrow . I already have a hexagon 35 salt tank. But I love the cube design. Going to move my anemone and 2 clowns into it . So I can do a yellow mimic tang in my 35 gallon. Ty for all the info.. if your into meatless monday meals checkout my channel. Awesome vegan recipes .

I've been looking at your videos as I'm planning a 90 gal build myself and I'm considering going with Reef Brites. I see you sold this tank :( Would you do it over again with Reef Brites or something else? Thanks for the video! :)

Thanks for checking out my channel. The LED technology has changed tremendously since this setup. While the reefbrites were great for their time and still have a place as supplemental lighting, I recommend going with a full spectrum LED. Aqua Illumination and Ecotech products are great. I currently run an AI Prime over my 25g lagoon. Good luck!

Bro i didnt watch your whole video because i have a headache. I just watched first few minutes. Hop in the car and locate a clean beach and do a %50 water change with naturaly unfiltered sea water. It rectifies almost all problems. Its teeming with elements and microscopic life that artificial salt is totaly void of. Dont listen to aquarium shop owners who say the artificial one is better its all bullshit. There is a lot of "crap" going around in the aquarium hobby industry. Those polyps are closing because of the water
@jeffatkins81033 жыл бұрын
Sometimes I actually think this is our biggest problem. Pumps and filtration either remove or kill a lot of the good stuff our corals need to flourish. My GSP did the same thing after a year or two. My problem is, the closest ocean is 10 hours away!
@charlieeagler76395 жыл бұрын
I have one for 2 years and a half.... I feed it two times at day mysis shrimp and Formula One from Ocean Nutrition. I am not sure is it eats bristle worms too. Ive seen him out of the rocks a few times and it makes a loud sound. I still cant catch what it eas when makes that noise.
@gold3nrul3116 жыл бұрын
Chemi-Pure elite doesn't remove Nitrates, it removes Dissolved Organics before they can be converted into Ammonia (and later Nitrates). Just saying... if someone has high nitrates, it won't help reduce them, only help to prevent nitrates from increasing.
