I have to ask, why use the 10-40 rather than 5w30? help reduce oil leaks and consumption maybe?

I use thicker oil for high miles. As the motor wears out the bearing tolerance is sloppier so thicker oil helps. If it is worn out really bad, but still going, you may add some really thick STP or something.

I couldn’t believe till I tried it - it absolutely works! I don’t know - just picked one blade that seemed a little chipped, and voila! Hardly any vibration! Thanks so much 🙏🏻
