Very Good Arlin. Too hot in Australia for dryers. Lol

People here get in a panic when their dryer quits. I thinks dryers are a big waste of energy, and yet, I still use them part of the time myself.

Hi Mr fixit I have a dryer very similar to this and it has a violent shaking problem near the end of a cycle. I did exactly what you did in this video and more but it did not fix the shaking problem. If you have any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure but maybe the drum or baffles in the drum out of balance? I dropped a drum once and after that, it was not round anymore.

@@AlFixit I've never dropped the drum. Iver only did maintenance on our home dryer once. But after further research I have a hunch the motor may have finally gone bad after 20 years of service without fail. So I'll be replacing that and the fan and idle arm just to be sure. I appreciate the help.

So here's an update to my situation. After about a week of replacing my dryer motor and blower fan, the violent vibration came back. After replacing majority of everything in the dryer the only thing left to replace was the drum. And that was going to cost upwards of $400-$500 for just the drum.. So I said screw it and bought a new dryer for less money.

Where did you buy the kit?

I usually put the model number in at searspartsdirect.com to find the part number, then order the part from ebay or amazon. If I am in a hurry, I buy from local appliance parts store.
