Not doing sens gate skip is faster in this route than actually doing it. You have to access firelink altar by either ringing both bells and going via frampt, or by killing 4 kings and going via kaathe. Since we have high enough damage do kill the early bosses already with BKGS, it's just faster to do them early rather than go to anor londo first and then have to warp back and retrace our steps. The old any% route used sens gate skip and got dragon tooth, but this route is over a minute faster than that at this point. TL;DR - Sens gate skip isnt always faster and sub 20 is possible but very hard

@Yoshirama its always open when you first arrive there. A hollow closes it if you take too long. I run past him after the boar.

You need to ring both bells or kill 4 kings in order to actually access firelink altar. If you do sens gate skip and just have the lordvessel, frampt's hole wont be open and you'd have to go kill 4 kings which also requires killing sif. I can do up to 22 inputs per second, but for this game, it's only optimal to go to 15 as the max

But you dont ideally want to spam them as they lose about 2-3 seconds every time you do them if it's without a specific purpose like a skip or an AI break. Currently, I think the only speedrun routes that dont use any quitouts are the Hitless speedrun routes just because quitouts are not allowed in hitless in general.

@@ruceblee969 You need to visit firelink altar in some capacity in order to do the wrong warp into the kiln. The only 2 ways to do that are to ring both bells and wake up frampt, or to talk to kaathe after killing 4 kings and sif.
