Dumb question. Why do you even need the lord vessel if you don't even place it? Can't you just jump down there once Frampt spawns? Then the wrong warp? Either way nice job. I love to see the BKS making an appearance now. That whole Darkroot garden is skipped now 🙂

it's because if you dont have the lordvessel, if you jump down the pit with frampt, you just die. and for kaathe, if you dont have the lordvessel, he just tells you to go get it. Lordvessel is kind of just the only key required to beat the game in general tbh.

Any% means you can do anything to win and force quit means You’re allowed to force quit the game by pressing alt+f4 which allows for glitches like wrong warping to be possible. Well thats what i think it means.

I think it means you're allowed to quit and reopen the game. Some speedrunning categories don't let you do that.

It's slower due to routing. You need the lordvessel and a way to access firelink altar. Fastest way is to ring the bells and since we already have a powerful weapon, we just kill quelaag right away.

Why drop the rapier at the undead parish bonfire? Do you wanna drop the hammer but make it wrong?

it's cause the rapier weighs as much as like 11 or 13 rapiers (depending on how many souls you have at undead burg merchant) and dropping it and picking it back up is the only way how to reset the weight so you dont medium/ fat roll/ run while having rapier equipped for moveswap

It's used for the Taurus demon kill setup as well as in undead parish. Lets you get hit by 1 hollow and still be able to backsteo thru the gargoyle's attack if required. After hollow room tho, it's not useful anymore so you just take it off on the ladder

Why does he change the brightness levels in the options several times during the run?

It's cause when you duplicate an upgrade material, your brightness gets sent back to the default "5" with the way we do it. And "5" brightness is a bit dark so I set it back up to "10" so I can see better. That's it

@@ruceblee969 You need to visit firelink altar in some capacity in order to do the wrong warp into the kiln. The only 2 ways to do that are to ring both bells and wake up frampt, or to talk to kaathe after killing 4 kings and sif.

You need to ring both bells or kill 4 kings in order to actually access firelink altar. If you do sens gate skip and just have the lordvessel, frampt's hole wont be open and you'd have to go kill 4 kings which also requires killing sif. There's also some specific routing timing stuff that's a little too in depth to go over in just a comment, but if you want a detailed overview on the route, check out Catalystz video on the run/route. It's titled something like "the oldest dark souls record was broken" or something
