Yes, in my experience the extra recline did make the journey more comfortable and easier to relax/sleep. As for noise, I was sat towards the rear of the premium cabin, so in line with the middle of the wing area. I would say no real difference between the front of the economy cabin where I often sit. Overall, the premium cabin does make a significant difference. You need to sit upfront in business to get the quiet seats, but not on this trip...Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video.

Interesting topic as per the Companion Vouchers, and I say that because I never used them in 2022 / 2023, I simply let them expire. I currently still have (14) Companion Vouchers that are good thru 2025/2026. I'm debating if I am gonna use one in 2025? I noticed that all of the KZbin instructions on B.A. Companion Vouchers are if you use the B.A. Amex card?... a card I don't have. Eitherway... thx for the information regarding the vouchers 👊repect👊

Hi. I don’t drink alcohol during the day so only had a soft drink. However I did see there were some wines, Prosecco and Peroni beer available. Not as extensive a selection as other lounges I have used but I guess at least a few options to choose from.

No problem, glad you found the information useful. The spend threshold for the Amex premium plus card is increasing from £10k to £15k per calendar year from November and the annual cost of that card is now £300 instead of £250. All the other info is still up to date. You can still save a large amount though with the voucher.

Seat pitch only happens to be the same throughout on the 319 - a rare quirk. 30 inches. On other 320 family aircraft ( the majority ), you do actually get a bit more in Club Europe than Economy - an inch ! A standard 30 inches in CE. On some aircraft the seats in the front of the economy section may have the same but behind them not. By far the most common pitch for economy is 29 on BA's short haul fleet, with a few seats on one variant I know of being 28 right at the back ( outrageous ). I get why they operate this flexible arrangements with the seats themselves being the same as in Economy, however 30 inches in Club Europe is unacceptable. It needs to be 34 really. You get fed in CE and fat people may not even get their tray down, having instead to eat twisting to the tray of the blocked middle seat in front. Working from a laptop would benefit from the pitch being 34. While its true if you had 34 inch pitch often they would end up being extra leg room seats in Economy, however, that could also be an opportunity for BA, both for revenue and for goodwill generated. They could be sold as paid upgrades involving purely the legroom aspect. Also they could be used for connecting passengers from long haul flights in Premium Economy class, thus making their ( or OW partner's ) PE tickets more attractive compared to others. They could be used for status holders as a perk. They could be granted on the basis of extreme height or medical need. By the way extra legroom seats in Economy that exceed legroom in CE arise due to being exit rows, are a double edged sword. If you are fat as well as tall, be aware you are losing seat width there. Also if you are so fat as to need a seat belt extender you'll be automatically ruled out. If you're just too unfit you may be deemed unsuitable as they need an able bodied person to assist exit in an emergency. Note in BA's subsidiary operations Euroflyer and CityFlyer, which use Embraer aircraft, there is no blocking of the neighbouring seat. As its a 2-2, they say ah well there's no middle seat to block, duh. But that's outrageous as it ignores the principle of not having to rub shoulders in tight space. If they want to operate a 2-2 aircraft that's up to them but they should maintain consistency with the 3-3 Airbus aircraft . They don't. KLM are no different with their KLM Cityhopper Embraers i.e. you pay for business class but you still have someone sitting next to you potentially. Most KLM flights from Aberdeen are the Embraers.

I fly Aberdeen- Africa every 4 weeks and normally with KLM, then Air France, I also flew Air France business to South Africa and Bangkok last year and I have to admit, I prefer the cabin and service with them. @@GlobetrottingGraeme I heard that efforts have been made again to persuade Air France to return to Aberdeen. So your regular connections would be better. I hope they come back. Seat pitch is or was better on AF, even Hop services, compared to BA now. So in business class I'm sure it would be. 32 or 33 I think ( you'll know ). If you ever fancy going to Egypt for a holiday, AF is a great option, as they run a full widebody service, actually the A350 no less. BA's business class service to that region is a joke, being the same as you get for ABZ-LHR, but for over five hours ! Ditto KLM and Lufthansa - just 'eurobiz'. And who wants to fly Egyptair - no thanks. AF are the exception.

From the 1st Nov it’s increasing to £15,000 spend each membership year 🙁, which is a 50% increase and I agree that’s quite a step up. I guess new customers can possibly offset that by taking advantage of the 60,000 or 70,000 avois join up offers you see, but i guess that doesn’t help existing customers.
