I must say ... Chaldean Assyrians have very unique dances distinct to the other Christian dances... at the school I work at I've asked Chaldean Assyrian students of the origins of the Bageya to name a few and yet it is very distinct to the Pacifica Islander dances as Pacifica folk are also Christian ...

I remember during my 3rd deployment in 2006 to Iraq, we were in the northern villages, and they danced just like that. We had to petrol the areas because they were being attacked by insurgent forces. The villages were called Mangash, alquash, zakku.

Those villages are christian villages. Thank you for risking your life to protect those villages. This is coming from an Assyrian/Chaldean American. :)

Reminds me of my students in the school I work at ... many of them are Chaldean and Assyrian with a very strong fierce passion for thier culture and dance. 😊

A few days ago I asked a student of mine about the Bageya dance where he smiled and gave a demo of the rhythmic shaking of shoulders and hand holding with a smile... I asked him the history of this where he explained it evolved from ancient traditional dances and since then in weddings and traditional parties they have adopted it as a traditional practice 😀.

I work in a high school in Melbourne with a significant Chaldean and Assyrian student cohort and when they perform these dances on culture days its absolutely mesmerizing. Even the most boisterous and rowdy of students dance in pride of honoring thier culture. This video song reminds me of my students and thier families 😢😢😢😮😮😮😊😊😊

When these people leave irak or Syria for some western countries they will begin to criticize and demonize the country that has feeded them and protected them since centuries and they will vote for right wing party’s who hate Muslims and they are willing to burn the Holy Koran in some western countries just to show the western people how much they hate the Islam and they will never speak Arabic again but somehow they show respect for the Turks who have massacred them funny but true

No god and no blessing but damnation for the so-called Assyria. All blessing from Above to the children of Israel, At avraye or At awraye, the small nation that has emerged out of the ten tribes that escaped from Israel c BC689 at the coming of As-sur Arabs that you call now Assyrians. The offensive smell of what the English lied and wrote appeals to you all. The Nation of At Atawraye. El At الاله انت Elatيشوع مشيخ

The lady with green skirt and black top. She looks like Caucasian is dancing exactly like me. My three cousins and I, we used to dance like that. My cousins were dancing without me. My other cousin started searching for me when he found me Holden my hand and brought and put me between them and said you belong here. Now you're three of you together you are giving the meaning of chobia .

Chaldeans or any Arphxchad tribes are not Native Iraqi, They Are not Sumerian or, Babylonian or Assyrian, so they are not IRAQI! Arphxad was living in Peninsula Arabia, (near the border between Saudi Arabia with Kuwait), Even If You Consider All Kuwait As Part of IRAQ, They were not living In Kuwait.

Rubbish disconnected talk!
@RashDavid-us8it5 ай бұрын
When one does not know what one is talking, one babbles without feeling any shame. Kuwait is a country and has got nothing to do with the so-called Iraq or Saddam- remaining Iraq. These are Atevraye from Gilo.
@ckalo73 ай бұрын
There’s no proof Arphaxhad existed… history shows the Assyrians of today (including Chaldeans/Syriacs) are descendants of the Assyrian and Babylonian empires who descended from the Akkadians. Connecting modern Chaldean Catholics to Arphaxhad is completely nonsensical.

Chaldeans are originally from the Church of the East of Sassanid Persian times… this Church of the East was always based in North Iraq, descendants of Assyrians, and never in Kuwait. Arabs, mixed with Bedouin camel lovers, and probably part camel or goat themselves, or Kurds from Iran, cannot talk to anyone about miscegenation!
