I use Vallejo Acylics for the majority of the work. But I do switch to oil paint for the finer parts of weathering and aging. Thank you very much.

What did you use for the foundation?

That’s a piece of EVA foam (craft foam sheet) attached to a piece of hardboard, like Masonite or equivalent. I use that EVA foam a lot in my builds.. it’s easy to shape and dremel. Most common glues work well with it. It makes a good base for builds like this.. and it’s inexpensive. Thanks!

Congrats for the lovely work! May I ask if the Lambretta is done with a pre existent base or if it is a scratch model? If it was done using a model kit, may I know which kit is it?

Iv just purchased a jewelry saw to modify my diecast trucks because im scared to death of using a dremel🤣, what would be the best size/ number cutting blade would you sugest to be the best for cutting diecast metal, ie doors,bonnets, ect, Many thanks

@@johnsampler520 I’m afraid you’re asking the wrong guy.. I’ve done very little coping saw work on diecast.. it really tested my patience! 😆 I broke so many blades I became frustrated. Definitely pick up a variety pack and experiment.

Ya know the napkins you get at fast food places, or the paper towels in the men’s room? That’s what I’m using here. Those, soaked in diluted modpodge. Ask for extra napkins at Taco Bell! 😆

What glue do you use to glou foam down on a base and buildings/fencing ect together please?, many thanks👍

@@johnsampler520 I used wood glue for the foam to base. Tightbond lll specifically. I glue the truck cab to the foam with “welder” .. a thick sticky craft glue would have worked as well.. I often use Matte Modpodge for much of the details such as weeds and debris laying around. I have so many types of glue and adhesives 😂

That’s a Panavise. They make several different versions and accessories. A little pricey but they’ll probably last a lifetime. No regrets getting mine. Thanks so much!

On this model I was using Vallejo paints for airbrushing, oils paint for weathering, and inexpensive craft paint for the base and terrain. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!😊

I think it was some plastic from packaging.. Some toys have the clear sheet in a display box. I’m always hanging on to little bits of trash that come in handy.
