The video , the scenery is amazing!!! The music is awful!!! Cant stand it!! Because of the fact we want to experience exactly what you have experienced, next time please let the natural sounds to be heard. The dogs barging, the people talking , the sounds of the nature.....that's what its all about! Do not put any music....it is not needed.

How many years does it take to complete a black belt in tae kwon do w average training per week?
@FocusOnAdventure
@FocusOnAdventure 2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Depends a bit on the age of the kids. For William (my nephew), he did about three lessons a week for 4 years to get to black belt, starting at about 8 years old. Then another three years for the second degree black belt. Generally speaking, the older you are the quicker you can progress

Awesome vide, where can I get the gang lines for four dogs? Link please. I’m in the Military and I get out soon. I’m planning on moving to Alaska with my family. We have four huskies and we are looking into getting all the gear necessarily for sledding. We’re going to start dry mushing/bikejoring first. If you could post a link with necessary gear that would be awesome! One more question, if I buy a gang line for four dogs, could I separate it and use it just for one dog? To train them individually, does the gang line let you take them apart to just train one? Or would I have to buy a gang line for just one dog?
@FocusOnAdventure
@FocusOnAdventure 2 жыл бұрын
Hi! There's a lot there that I don't know. I can set up and run a team but when I show up the gear is already picked out for me. The line is basically in sections for two, and if you want to add another pair you just attach another section. The first section attaches to the sled, and then after that it's just an extension. The extensions work for a pair or a single. They are set up like a "Y". Single line for a few feet and then spit into two. If you're running a single at the font you just attach both ends of the "Y" to the same harness. This place looks like it has most of the gear you would need: www.alpineoutfitters.net/collections/ganglines

This kind of tours should be done at many places around the world with local dog breeds that love running or very high energy individuals. Maybe the sled could be something more like a bicycle. To help the beginners and un-experienced people could be used some kind of tandem frame, side-car or a front cargo bicycle. The match with nature and empowering experience for the visitor should be a new way to see self improvement and relate each other.

I live in Mexico city (temperate weather, rainy summer, cold nights and cold early mornings, cold to very cold winter). The hotter time can be found at spring and summer afternoons and even in the first middle of those nights. I promote the sledding behavior with my dogs. The first time it was with an akita and a mix (napolitan mastiff+akita). Those two male dogs loved to run and pull with all their heart, mind and soul. Nowadays my sister helps dog shelters to find new owners for some dogs and she chose two females to live with my parents, one is a malinois shepherd and the other is kind of a pit-bull. Both of them love to run like crazy, very very energetic, right next to a bicycle. They don't stop to smell every tree or make marks, evenly they rarely stop to release their digestive system content. And they always start running as hell after any stop lapse. I use a regular chest harness and a double 8 mm dynamic rope with two single lock carabiners. We have been training a 6 to 10 Km (3.6 to 6 miles) route every two days. And we have increased the route to 12 Km one every six sessions. The route is very hilly and, apparently, they don't like much middle day sun and temperature. Now that colder days are coming, I will try to improve their comfort choosing better time of the day, every time. I hope, with proper fitness training, we can reach easy going 20 Km (13 miles) soon.

Awe I'm Jealous! I haven't figure out yet if I'm going to make it up there this winter, I really missed not going last season. So there is no place to charge batteries, just gotta bring a bunch extra. For my go pros and iPhone I had decent sized charging brick that would last 6-7 days. For my main camera I just brought about 4 batteries. Hope that helps, have fun!

Yes Marcus is truly a legend! Unfortunately he’s retired from being a full time guide. I’m hoping to talk him into a couple more trips here and there. The first trip I went on was by myself, but the people I met were amazing. We keep in touch through the summer and some of us return every year for another adventure. It’s great going out with 7 good friends. Doesn’t look like 2021 will happen, might have to skip a year.

Hey, My name is Isabel, and I am a 18 year old paraglider. I am a fan of New Zealand since I was a kid, and actually would be there for half a year if it wasn't for Corona. I plan to go in 2022 instead and I have two questions - can I also paraglide in the time from March to September, like is the weather good enough/ are there thermals or is this a bad time because it's winter and it rains all the time? I would probably go to Auckland/Wellington, a few weeks Queenstown. And second - I just did my license this year in August, and plan to fly much, but is it easy to fly in NZ and/or should you be able to do soaring very good? Thank you very much!😊 Isabel
@FocusOnAdventure
@FocusOnAdventure 3 жыл бұрын
Hi! So I may not be the best person ask, as I'm not a local. I traveled down there for a month in January to attend the school. The soaring locations in the video are very good for beginners, and I in fact miss it very much. No trees on takeoff, wide open beach to land on, and steady winds. Hard to find that anywhere else in the world.. March-Sept would definitely be the off season, so the flyable days would be rare. When I went in January I flew every single day. I'd say your best bet would be to reach out to Reuben and/or Eva at Wings and Waves Paragliding, they can give you a better answer. Best of luck!

@@FocusOnAdventure okay, thank you so much!! I messaged Eva and will see what she'll respond. The soaring locations look actually so beautiful and I'm glad that they are for beginners; maybe I'll attend a course in the first weeks and then I can fly by myself. Amazing video by the way:D

Seem to me Hass-an was making a point & telling you not to go through that slushy area, Some areas in Sweden have just as Norway & Denmark a polluted river even thought some ponds whereof the thaw slush can hurt their paws, you'll notice when it hurts when they start moving their feet as of they would dance in the snow. Take care
@FocusOnAdventure
@FocusOnAdventure 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a tough spot. Since I was last in line the trail was in the worst condition and more spots had filled with water. The teams at the front of the line were able to make it through with less effort. The dogs don't exactly "listen" to the tourists and are trained to just follow the sled in front, so I didn't have the option to blaze a new path. We probably did about 5 miles that day, had 3-4 spots like seen in the video, so it was small sections of the overall day but very tough spots. I've been on 7 trips and that remains the hardest day by far (this video is my first trip). Our guide, Marcus, has always said that day remains the most difficult he's had over his career. He's the most experienced guide in the region and if there was another option he would have found it. So it's very unusual, we just got unlucky with conditions. As for the water, I certainly hope it's not polluted as that's our drinking water for the week! And yes I do think the water hurts their feet, as it will freeze between their paws and many times on breaks they will lick their feet trying to clear it. Thanks for watching!
