This is awesome information. I have the Traxxas Tmaxx with an EZ start and one with a remote start. (My remote start is a bit different from yours.) I can use your set-up for my off-road Ofna Buggies 1/8 scale.

What is the longevity of these little replica motors? I want to get into it, but I would like to know if their whear items are made out of Chinesium or something harder like tool steel or at least hardened in some way?

Kinda looks like the top coolant line might cause a bit of an airlock as the point where you would be putting coolant in system on radiator is lower than the thermostat housing on the block. Unless it was just a cameraview point throwing me off.

When you pay $2k for a miniature engine, the quality should be good enough that it doesn’t leak oil, and the boots should fit without needing to be cut. With that in mind, I bet they have zero quality control.

can anyone tell me here what to time the engine at? i have it currently timmed at 0 degreese at TDC i try to start my V8 but i get back pressure out of the carberator but it also pulls a vacuum when i plug it. shes got spark, shes got fuel she just makes no audible attempt to even fire. Any ideas?
@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol22 күн бұрын
My first thought is to set your distributor 180 deg from top dead center and try it getting back pressure out of the carb is either 180 out on your ignition or valve lash is too tight,

great video, I'm working on this today and splitting the pump and i see it is hard to separate, so ill go back now and take it apart without damaging it
@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol25 күн бұрын
Good luck with the pump! it is a little tricky, I hope yours comes apart easier than mine!🤣
@mikeh595024 күн бұрын
I got it apart and I found a zero clearance situation on gear endplay because bearings weren’t seated. Looked like they pressed bearings to final position by tightening pump case halves together. Also I found o ring was pinched. After I pressed bearings home, I got 005” clearance and I’m calling that good@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol

Spectacular build. That’s a great scale build honestly. Everyone thinks your cars or truck need to be ultra fast but nah something special about these SCALE BUILDS that demands respect behind the remote and you feel good driving them in such manner. Kudos on that r34. 🤌

Thanks my friend! a lot of love goes into these builds, to smash up a one of one build is something other channels do for views and attention lol!
@Ghostworks99916 күн бұрын
@ I agree with you. from an insider’s perspective or builders point of view having a super fast car is not what makes the cars driving experience great it’s the simplicity of feeling it’s handling and control without having to go 50mph that really sets in the feeling of appreciation on such a class build like that r34.

Very interested to see how the alternator works for you, that would be a nice thing to remove the ignition battery pack. The dipstick is great! I've just been using a small white zip tie, but this is so much better. Some people have been noticing that the rods are banging the guide holes in the heads slightly, possibly due to slop in the lifters and valve adjusters as they are just using those socket head screws. Might be something to keep an eye on, or find a way to improve.

Some day I'll have one of these engines. I just looked up the length of a 350 intake manifold and it looks like 16-17 in. It's the middle of the night and I'm being lazy to go out and measure. But I'm sure you could figure out the scale. Or I can do it if you want? Could I get the length of the intake?

I like the Cison V8 better because it looks more realistic. I have the OHV and Flathead versions. The ignition system on these engines seem to be more reliable as well. I ordered two Cison ignition modules to use on my Enjomor V12 so I don't have to keep robbing them from the V8 engines. Thanks for the update on the Toyan V8. I might get one. I'm not sure.
@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrolАй бұрын
I have to agree with you there, the Cison looks pretty realistic! good call on the ignition modules 👍 I have a Enjomor V12 that keeps burning up the brushless starter motors, I had it fire off once before the second motor went up in smoke, I think its to tight and strains the starters.

I can’t get mine to start bought it off enginediy and haven’t broke anything or done any mods and it already don’t start. Does anyone know why the carb don’t suck up the fuel? My fuel hose is empty. Never sucks any fuel in. Thanks in advanced
@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrolАй бұрын
Hmmm, check your fuel tank to see if there is a blockage, check that it is turning counter clockwise from the back , you might need to open up the carb to check for blockage, sometimes these need almost flooded with fuel to break them in.

I liked the new Toyan V8 for its design and price. I still don't know exactly how it works. But I do know that the first units are starting to be manufactured right now.
@diegoarevalo9136Ай бұрын
But what disappoints me most about this engine is its poor lubrication system. It was supposed to be independent when it is not. I will miss its first version very much, which is better than the new one for now.
@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrolАй бұрын
I am with you, there's a lot of speculation about how it functions. I am sure more will be revealed as they get more units built.
@diegoarevalo9136Ай бұрын
@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrolYou are right, that is what happened with the Cison V8 and it became my favorite engine from the first time I heard about it, so I will have to wait and see how its final production version turns out.

They asked for people to send questions about this engine on the facebook group. Looks like there are further videos coming showing load testing and long throttle testing. However it's hard to say what that'll actually entail.
