You lost ambush card due to outrage. Each time You move on the clearing with sympathy token(mouse) or attack one You trigger outrage and have to give a card to supporters with icon of that clearing. If You can't, give a bird card. If You do not have card with the icon of clearing or a bird card VA player gets the card from the library. VA use those supporter cards to deploy the sympathy tokens(check on the player board it's cost)/revolutions. Also VA can revolt on each type of clearing(he got one base building with each type) so for example if VA have a bsae on fox clearing he can't revolt on foxes. You can fight the VA by restricting their movement(check the martial law rule) or by burning their bases.

There are things like deck compostion, more control play style, more aggro play style, when to rush early game, and other things. A lot of content for tutorials and strategy guides

Love seeing more Root content! You spent a lot of time agonizing about "What if the Woodland Alliance revolts here?". Remember that they only have 3 total bases to put out via Revolt (one for each clearing type). For much of the time you were considering this action, all 3 bases were already on the board. This is part of the fun of Root; remember all the quirky rules of your opponents :D

Clank! In! Space! is the version that I have played, but Clank! Catacombs looks interesting 🤔😁 Edit: I realize that this video is just base Clank! only digital, lol, but that you mentioned that you are most familiar with the separate game of Clank! Catacombs.

Around 42:33 when you said you dont care about conflict and went for solary & spice, i was like "noooooooooo" xD imo - you would definetly win that conflic if you went signet ring on Carthago, Sietch or Arrakeen, dagger for swordmaster and keep the worm. Ending with mentat, intri card, 2 solary and swordmaster is better outcome.. again in my opinion. Also i enjoy these vids ^^ i hope they keep coming.

Hey Bludgeon! I think you should give early conspire a chance with beast, especially with this conflict as the first. Stillsuits/put in 2 troops, then great flat with ring/put in 2 troops. Next round conspire/swordmaster/3rd action. Of course sell melange works fine and gives more solari, but I feel that as beast, getting troops and intrigues is a good way to help yourself win conflicts, + you get an influence. By the way i love your videos! And also, good game!

I've never played Clank! before but now I'm completely sold. Looks really good.

The same rule about both having an artifact and not being in the depths to score any points applies in Clank! Catacombs as well (see page 14 of the rulebook). This can be a real problem if you haven't turned up many tiles with artifacts early in the game.

Fairy bottle is not for only the first player to get knocked out. It's for any player who gets knocked out, their first time they respawn in a random room. If you run out of time, respawning isn’t going to help.

The empty clank bag situation in the first game was interesting because in other versions of clank, an empty dragon bag means the game ends immediately. I guess since they removed the end game turn tracker in other versions they needed some other way to prevent anyone from having infinite turns

So to answer your question on scoring, it's a universal rule in all of Clank that you need to have an artifact in your possession to score points. There are some differences in how certain mechanics work in different versions. In this version for example can buy multiple backpacks and crowns but in legacy you can only have one of each market item

I was able to learn the majority of the game watching your first video but the tutorial helped clear up a couple of things!

I wasn't interested in this game because it's hard to see it's depth just by looking at it. Your video taught me I have to buy this game!
