@@tigerx51v Getting stuck on 8 and 9, I end up with Spice Must Flow in hand (FTW influence) but keep getting passed by late game intrigue + final combat. I think im over analyzing my mid game resulting in diversification instead of direct path to win.

@@scottbrennan8044 sorry to hear that! I'm no pro like bludgeon but are you getting all of your friendship points with the alliances? Bludgeons strategy of getting the heighliner spice in preparation for the 2vp combat helps me a lot. Only other thing I can think of is trying to get more intrigues until you get an endgame VP one

Salut! Yeah getting the Swordmaster as early as possible is very powerful. You can win without it, it's not always 100% the best strategy to focus on it, but most of the time it's a good idea.

You should try to get the troops gained from Emp alliance threshold into combat :) Would've been a fun play w Shifting Allegiances

Hi, thanks for your comment! I've only played with Rise of Ix a couple of times. It seems interesting and I'm looking forward to exploring it more. Regardless of how good it may be, it's not essential. Dune: Imperium is one of the best board games ever, it's a brilliant design with incredible replay value and strategic depth. It definitely stands on its own.

The eight persuasion card that allows you to draw a card and move an agent to any spot on the board. If you use that on the first turn of the round does it use up an agent? Also, if you use up all your agents, do you have an opportunity to play that card? Or do you have to make sure you have at least one agent left to play it?

Kwisatz Haderach: "Send one of your Agents from anywhere to ANY board space (even if occupied)" "from anywhere" means either from your supply or from a board space. If you play it on your first turn, you'll have to use an Agent from your supply just like any other card. But if you use it on a later turn, you can use an Agent that's already on the board, which makes it like an extra Agent.

All of that might be true … but it’s pronounced “highliner” because that’s an existing word. GG

But the board space is called heighliner, not highliner. And heigh is an existing word that is pronounced like "hey" as far as I know.

@@osmoduh The way I always remember the pronunciation of the word 'Heigh' is from the Snow White song 'Heigh-Ho' that is sung by the 7 dwarves.
