Hoʻomaikaʻi! I came out in 1974 at the age of 14. Some of my guardian angels that kept me both safe and from self destructing were my drag moms, both of who are gone now. This is a long time coming! Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo for keeping our history as māhū alive!

As someone who is also of African (atheist/non political) descent, "christian/political humanity" has already failed, shortly after our African, atheist/non political, ancestors in so many controlled/fake/negative ways. That includes the majority of so-called black/brown, christian/political, sane, critical thinking, active, smart, secure, conscious, loving, inclusive, respectful, social, real/realistic, positive, humble, adults. We are doomed.

I am sobbibg. I so wish our school had done more like this to make us proud to be Hawaiian back in the day..Just think how far along we would be in the fight for our culture had Kamehameha had been then...what it is now As for Kumu Hina....I just love her..and I don't know her at all..except by what I watch and read about her. What a blessing she is
