3:00 - I think most people might not realize, but that has to be the hardest trick there is. The strength to get into a handstand. Then to do a handstand. Then to balance a board. Then to land it. Does anyone have any idea how hard this is? I can speak to this. Personally tried working on it.

What happened just at the end, yeah I know it's a story of failure and missing a large error, when everything looked to be on track. It would be nice to know the detail of the failure, which my gut tells me is something to do with deep water immersion (hard to test).

Here, my dear. This may help you. It's a little primer on how to know things exist. It's rather simple and very left brain so you just may catch it. For us human beings to say something exists, it has to be discovered, which means our senses have to be involved - which in turn means - it can't be or exist based on belief or argument or understanding. We don't explain things into existence because they make sense to us or because we want them to exist. Are you catching on? Do you want me to talk slower? Do you need to sit down? So based on all this, tell me - when and where your god was discovered and by whom?

"The FOOL says in his heart, 'THERE IS NO GOD' " (Psalm 14:1; 53:1 NIV, scriptural emphases added all throughout). God had first revealed Himself IN PERSON to the first humans, ADAM and EVE, and interacted with them and later with their first children, Abel & Cain, about 6,000 years ago. The historical account of God’s creation and His personal interactions with these first humans were later put into writing by Moses in Genesis chapters 1 to 4 of the Bible. The Holy Bible is God's SPECIAL REVELATION to mankind - detailing about Himself, His existence, His nature and character, His dealings with humans - particularly with the nation of Israel - throughout history, and His eternal plan of redemption for mankind through the Messiah (Jesus Christ) whom He had decided to raise out of the nation of Israel in His appointed time. God also revealed Himself through His CREATION, as affirmed in Romans 1:20 quoted below. "For since the creation of the world GOD'S INVISIBLE QUALITIES - HIS ETERNAL POWER AND DIVINE NATURE - HAVE BEEN CLEARLY SEEN, BEING UNDERSTOOD FROM WHAT HAS BEEN MADE, SO THAT PEOPLE ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE" (Romans 1:20). My dear, let me answer your question & concerns about God's existence on behalf of Dr. Rosalind Picard because like her, I'm a Christian and a believer in God, too. But first, please watch her Christian testimony here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5POn2mZltprosUfeature=shared There are REALITIES in life that we can't fully explain and/or empirically verify by just relying on our human senses or brain alone. This is true in the case of God's existence. However, the Bible teaches that there is a way or ways in which we humans can know God for sure. In Romans 1:20 (quoted above), we humans can deduce God's existence through His CREATION all around us. For example, the vastness & fine tuning of the whole universe, the immense complexity of the human organ systems and the cellular world - not to mention the DESIGN that you can see all around you - point to an ULTIMATE DESIGNER & a FIRST CAUSE, who Himself is UNCAUSED & ETERNAL. HE JUST EXISTS throughout eternity! NOBODY CREATED HIM. Another example pertains to our human sense of right & wrong - our morality. How do we know that murder, lying, and stealing, for example, are WRONG unless an ULTIMATE LAWGIVER or MORAL GIVER exists who tells us so. Don't tell me that these moral principles are just EVOLVED, too - well, assuming you happen to believe in EVOLUTION or an ATHEIST. And you believe that there are NO MORAL ABSOLUTES, since there's NO GOD in the first place. Well, let's take a GRIM LESSON from history from SOMEONE who had PRACTICED that kind of philosophy and BELIEVED that humans & moral principles just evolved over time. ADOLF HITLER, who was a very big fan of DARWIN, strongly believed in the Darwinian principles of the SURVIVAL of the FITTEST and the existence of SUPERIOR HUMAN RACES (like his Germanic or Aryan race). He, therefore, waged WW2 with the major goal of eliminating and/or subjugating deemed "inferior" races like the Slavs (Russians, etc.) and the Jews, which led to the horrible HOLOCAUST and the extermination of about 6 million Jews. Moreover, he and his Nazi party had murdered hundreds of thousands of his own people - Germans in government-run asylums, with mental or other genetic defects, Gypsies, gays, and other people he deemed genetically unfit to live in order to purify the German race - and the human race, as a whole! In fact, the Nazi's FINAL SOLUTION (with Hitler's approval) was to exterminate the whole European Jewry - numbering about 10 million Jews at that time! It was just the Nazi's defeat that finally stopped their EXTREMELY EVIL MADNESS. The truth is, THERE ARE MORAL ABSOLUTES, and we humans got our moral absolutes from God, thereby proving His existence. In fact, He spelled these out very clearly in His Ten Commandments (see Exodus 20:1-17) and His other moral precepts and laws throughout the Bible, including the New Testament (e.g., Galatians 5:19; Matthew 5:21-22, 27-28). Please watch these videos for more proof and reasons to believe of God's existence: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5rYeKFvn7iDo7Mfeature=shared kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWjQZXeBYq16htEfeature=sharedkzbin.info/www/bejne/qWjQZXeBYq16htEfeature=shared Finally, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, God's only begotten Son JESUS CHRIST REVEALED GOD to us, humans. "In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but IN THESE LAST DAYS HE HAS SPOKEN to US by HIS SON, whom he appointed HEIR of ALL THINGS, and THROUGH WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE UNIVERSE. The Son is the RADIANCE of GOD’s GLORY and the EXACT REPRESENTATION of HIS BEING, SUSTAINING ALL THINGS by HIS POWERFUL WORD" (Hebrews 1:1-3). Also, 1 John 4:8 &16 says GOD is LOVE. That's how we got our virtue or emotion of love, too. Since we are created in God's image (Genesis 1:26-27), we have that built-in capacity to love God, other humans, and God's other creations (your pets, nature, etc.). Lastly, I want you to UNDERSTAND that despite your rejection of God and your denial of His existence, GOD LOVES YOU. (And I love you, too.) In fact, God eagerly wants a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU through His Son, JESUS CHRIST - the same Christ that Dr. Picard and I met during our younger years, and the same Christ who has since blessed our respective lives tremendously. The Bible puts it this way. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE" (John 3:16 NKJV). "Perish" in this verse means to perish in HELL. ALL UNREPENTANT SINNERS WHO DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD and REJECTED His offer of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ will be thrown to hell. "But the cowardly, the UNBELIEVING, the vile, the murderers, the SEXUALLY IMMORAL, those who practice magic arts, the IDOLATERS and ALL LIARS - they will be consigned to the FIERY LAKE of BURNING SULFUR. This is the SECOND DEATH." (Revelation 21:8) I'm telling you this not because I hate you, but because I do care for you. I just want to WAKE YOU UP while there's still time for you to change. IF YOU DIE WITHOUT CHRIST IN YOUR LIFE, YOU WILL GO TO HELL. Hebrews 9:27 says, "Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face JUDGMENT." YOUR UNBELIEF, DENIAL of HIS EXISTENCE, and MOCKERY of GOD DOES NOT CHANGE the FACT that HE IS STILL THERE to JUDGE YOU one day.... No, you will not just VANISH, as EVOLUTION would like you to believe. The TRUTH is, when you die in your present spiritual condition, YOU WILL GO to HELL and CONSCIOUSLY SUFFER there for ALL ETERNITY. Do you really want that to happen to YOU? My prayer is that YOU'd one day meet Jesus Christ - the way Dr. Picard and I did - then ACCEPT HIM as YOUR PERSONAL LORD & SAVIOR, be SAVED FROM HELL and granted ETERNAL LIFE through faith in Him. I'll always remember you in my prayers, that God will grant you His gift of REPENTANCE, and that He will encourage you to BELIEVE in and BE RECONCILED to Him. Artificial intelligence. That sums you up quite well. Academically you excel. But you also take a deep dive into something artificial that doesn't exist and you make it the centerpiece of your life around which all else revolves. I'm really really smart. The achool I attended has an undergraduate base under 10K and costs $78K annually. So, no, intelligence doesn't necessarily impress me. Been around it my whole life. The two things that impress me are kindness and a direct connection to reality. You score well on point A but fail miserably on Point B as you have brought the word god into your life which is a complete intellectual failure. Just ask Albert Einstein who said the word is ths expression and product of human weakness. I say those who use the word in sentences have non-functioning brains. I've been writing on ineffable matters and ideals for the past 25 years. I am a good bit older than you. White hair. Genius intellect. Genius IQ. Degree or degrees from Stanford, Princeton, Notre Dame, Northwestern or Duke. Trust me. You won't cast a shadow over me. Amazing you work at MIT and get away with asserting you know how the universe came to be. Along with all life in the universe. You have to assume the astrophysics department thinks you're nuts. Anyway, I could lay out another 50,000 words right here and right now, but I won't. I don't try to impress people or to argue them into a sesspool of confusion. I've been at this a long time. I can tell right away you have gone over the falls and won't be returning. You are guaranteed to waste the rest of your life. Amazingly ignorant of you not too see at all how amazingly ignorant you are. I've got Albert Einstein on my side. Amazing that doesn't affect or impress you at all. But then, you're a Christian now which neans you are never ever ever ever out of your depth. Never. The definition of moron.

Danny coming back from that slam like he did is not only one of the greatest moments in sports history, it is one of the most fantastic, real-time glimpses into the lengths the human spirit can go and still perservere. Adversity, catastrophe, both avoidable and unavoidable tragedy; the ability the human body and mind has to be able to carry on when every other part of you is saying to stop... It's inspiring. I know it's probably "not that deep bro", but I think maybe that's why it resonates so deeply with me every time I see the replays. Can't keep that lonely tear from coming out every single time I see Danny carrying himself off the ramp and then coming back to do what he did.

Nuno Loureiro: "If you are not failing all the time, you are aiming too low" this sounds a bit like me because I hate to fail. So I set an easy target, and I will succeed for sure. I recently started to challenge myself, from time to time, and I actually like a good challenge nowadays.
