A couple of months ago a documentary about this project came out. It's on Netflix and called 'The greatest Night in Pop'. I thought it was a really interesting watch with some funny anekdotes (for example Stevie Wonder helping Bob Dylan by showing how he should sing in Bob Dylan's voice and showing Ray Charles where the bathroom was and the whole group spontaniously breaking out in Banana Boat to honor Harry Belafonte who actually came up with the idea to do something like Band Aid). Further more, I think it's BS Madonna wasn't invited to this. They picked Cindy Lauper because she was the better singer and thought they didn't need another teen-oriented singer, but Madonna deserved it. Also I didn't like how they kept waiting for Prince. They declined others like John Denver. If Prince didn't want to be there, then he didn't (well, he wanted to play guitar in a different room, but that wasn't in the spirit of the project). Also, they shouldn't have let Bill Murray in the room :)
