its actually a good idea to rely on mk1 when using nuked because mk2 has pitch shifting + instrument mapping issues on it and requires several restarts to get something to play right
Oh and btw... Some of these files were actually made for MU50/80/90, not MU100 and later. Yamaha was lazy not including MU Basic map select SysEx strings.

I got the virtual instrument sound canvas but it sounds nothing like this. Where are the drums coming from and the synth noises. Can you really accomplish these sounds by modifying the reverb, chorus and delay.

I love how Xiao Dao Hui shows all 64 channels. While Classic Medley has 64 channels, none of the channels between 33 and 48 are played. Basically, there's 3 ports.

@@lumiere_eleve what happened for MU128 demo on MU1000?
@lumiere_eleve2 ай бұрын
@@DearHoney_1996 It contains a lot of repurposed MU remote switch SysEx commands, which on MU128 controlled the LCD brightness, displayed channel and display ranges. But among the dumpers, no one knows what those SysEx commands would actually do to a real MU128 module. However just removing those instructions should make the file safe for playing. You just need to discard all SysEx events beginning with f0 43 10 49 0a 00 (according to the Octavia implementation). Maybe someone will later translate all those remote switch commands into correct MU display channel switch commands to make everyone enjoy the demos in their full glory.

Great channel, subscribed! I stumbled across your channel looking at the Nuked video, but you have so many great videos! I recently caught the 'sound module' bug and bought a few modules myself - an SC-55ST, SC-88ST and KORG AG-10. I've just bought a YAMAHA TG300, MU100, and MU10 too.... sure that an MU1000 will be my next purchase! Found an RA-50 cheaply and gave it a new home too. Plus an MT-120... Perhaps this hobby is already out of hand LOL. I would love to pick up some of the Yamaha/Roland/Korg SMF floppy discs one day. There's some amazing professional content out there. Have you looked into the TG300? It sounds quite different from YAMAHAs later XG sound sets. Still has quite a few FX too, so I guess its a precursor to XG... Seems interesting! Looking forward to your new content!
