Opening your own brokerage is definitely an option, but it’s a different model compared to launching a hedge fund. A brokerage typically focuses on facilitating trades for clients, earning commissions or fees, while a hedge fund pools investor capital to actively manage investments with the goal of generating returns. It really comes down to whether you want to operate as a service provider (brokerage) or as an investment manager (hedge fund). Each approach has its own regulatory and operational requirements, so it’s worth looking into both to see what fits your vision best. Of course, this isn’t financial advice-just some general insights to consider!

There's no need to break down the characters' motivation. and interpretation of the scene is self-explanatory. The scene was well-written enough for a layperson to comprehend. That's what makes this seem so riveting.

So lots of rich people pool their money to buy legit businesses, make them worthless in an effort to make the rich people richer, and then the companies go bankrupt, and the rich people move on to the next business. Got it.

Hey Bridger, I noticed that you’re not getting much views on your videos even after 100K+ subs. Audience gets bored of raw and unedited videos plus understanding is not easy for everyone either. I’m willing to edit videos for your channel and I’m re-editing a video of yours, I’ll give you suggestions for improvements too as I’m an experienced editor myself. So if you actually want to hire an editor and wanna take your content to the next level, kindly provide me a way to reach out to you so I can show you my skills and we can discuss further. Peace.

I can tell you are a newbie. I think you need more experience with your dad or other mentors to help you become a better teacher and more educated as an investor. You come off as an amateur and I feel like I know more than you and I have just restarted learning about real estate investing 2 months ago. You might want to check out Peter from commercial property advisors. He comes off as a humble expert but extremely knowledgeable. I think you need more hands-on experience or a partner. Let me know if you need any help!

If we don’t want to have RIA but want to charge management fee than do we still need the Series 65
@bridger_pennington7 күн бұрын
That's a great question. Whether a Series 65 is required can depend on how the fund is structured, what type of assets are being managed, and the specific regulations in your state or country. It’s always a good idea to consult with a securities attorney or compliance expert to make sure everything is set up properly. This response is for informational purposes only and not financial advice.

This is true in our individual lives as well. I have had many points in my life where, I realized too late that, the things I saw as signs of my success were actually signs of my impending downfall. Sometimes it wasn't even because these signs were bad in and of themselves. Instead, it was because of how I reacted to them. False sense of security and overestimating my power. Good decisions are hard, and success fooled me into no longer making those like I had in the past.

To be honest, I'm quite new to the space, I was trying to make sense of 'forward thinking' metrics I have seen on start-ups websites, jobs posts etc...trying to figure out companies' valuation though most of them are not profitable, trying to figure out why usually they don't have any process in place in favour of mind blowing yoy growth. Basically I take anything as a stepping stone towards personal knowledge augmentation, so I have been able to undercover 1 thing or 2. VC seems pretty risky so it's something I'm savouring theoretically. However, M&A it's where I'd like to head, I'm just a bit behind schedule in terms of age. But Fin is actually so interesting. Subbed!

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks.

When they sell , they use the term mix bag I believe they mixed in A rated mortgages with high risk. I believe that’s what he talking about when he says layering .
@bridger_pennington14 күн бұрын
You're spot on. Layering or mixed bag typically refers to the practice of bundling A-rated mortgages with higher-risk loans into the same financial product, like mortgage-backed securities. This blending of risk levels made it difficult to fully assess the actual risk, and when the lower-quality loans defaulted, it impacted the entire security. This was a major factor leading to the 2008 financial crisis.

Most rich people stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then most poor people stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich but impressing them. People prefer to spend money on liabilities, Rather than investing in assets and be very profitable
