Love it. Really nicely paced. Hats off to doing this in 24 hours. Yes I know people will say there's archival footage. But it inspires that it's possible. Some writing, a vision, an authentic participant. Well done!

I watched "Gold of the Plateau" three times now! Certainly, a well-made documentary! Well done! May I suggest you keep to the 6-minute format and start producing documentaries on China on specific themes? I reckon TV channels would be interested to purchase and broadcast them. Or start a Chinese-version of National Geographic.

So interesting, Miriam. A look into a life I had never heard of, neither the caterpillar fungus or the search and harvest of it. I am thrilled for you at your great achivement. It is well deserved. Thank you for letting us see how the documentary was made.

This caterpillar fungus is really expensive. But be careful there are fake one on the market. Chinese usually boiled it in herbal soup. Really delicious and healthy.

I like the ending. Simple and clear. Of course plus nice tibetan music 👍👍👍

It's a place very difficult to reach. It's high altitude and the highly protected mushroom. Miriam married into this remote part of the world and she was able to make the film. The view is spectacular. The female host is likely Tibetan or partially Tibetan. The produce is more expensive than gold. What an epic minidocumentary!

The number of atrocities committed for Chinese "traditional medicine" is abhorrent. Rhinoceros horns, Elephant tusks to name a few. Over 30 animal species have been severely impacted, not to mention endangered due to the ignorance of "Chinese herbal and animal" remedies. Fully support documentaries, but there is a back story that should not be overlooked. Exploiting our earths most treasured species to the point of extinction is the real heartbreak. The full impact of this caterpillar larvae is regulated due to the high levels of arsenic and heavy metals found in its bodies. Wishing you success in your endeavours, always keeping in mind the FULL story and history please.
