...this torch lighting is still the most dramatic, most moving, most unbelievable, and best executed in the history of the Olympic Games. The music just makes it that much more. Why Antonio Rebollo (the archer) wasn't given a medal or the Olympic Order is beyond me. BRAVO ANTONIO! BRAVO BARCELONA!

Merci d'avoir mis ces 2 pistes du vinyle en ligne.Le mien est tellement usé qu'on croirait entendre un feu de foyer qui crépite...

A partir del minuto 2:30 comienza una marcha muy de Star Wars creada por John Williams para luego dar paso a composición estilo Conan The Barbarian de Basil Poledouris y al minuto 3:56 empieza la escalada épica construyendo solemnidad hasta el momento cumbre en el minuto 4:58 donde los ojos del mundo contemplan la magnificencia de lo que intentaron hacer. Wish to disagree. Best is Tokyo 2020 hands down. That tune makes you feel you achieved something you dreamt and the whole world acknowledging that standing up.

I remember this also from the Opening Ceremony of the Games Of The XXIII Olympiad at Los Angeles. It was used then the Antwerp Flag was brought in to the LA Memorial Coliseum and handed to then-Mayor Tom Bradley for the duration of the Games. That was the final time the Antwerp Flag was handed over at the Opening Ceremony.

My goodness watching this 23 years later you can see how poor the camera shots were back then which is a shame because so much was missed.I remember watching it when it happened and thought it was fantastic and it probably was for the people there
