Hi did you know theres a thing called a Dirty Little Stripper it will help you cut that cover off all your copper wire that your stripping by hand Amazon has then your videos are awesome

As a fellow forger in my spare time, to each their own when it comes to technic(pardon my spelling), but it pains me to watch you melt from outside the forge, granted I don’t make videos for KZbin, probably because I’m to much of a protectionist, but melting looks that just spells unprepared and lazy, and will probably get me blocked from watching future videos, if so, so be it, melt on

You should definitely get some copper out of them. I would imagine you would get at least 1Kg if not more. That's assuming the cable is copper and not aluminum. I would be interested in seeing how much you would get. 👍

Great video though beother, new subscriber here. I melt small amounts of silver, but watching anything melt is cool imo. Edit: could maybe just burn the rivet heads off your bit with the old torch? Should 't get hot enough to affect the temper on the bit. That aluminum melts at a fairly low temp. Just a thought.
