I though a hub tent was supposed to be faster? This seems like a huge headache. Roll up walls? Really?lol. Stove jack but nothing for a diesel heater doesn't make much sense at all to me

How warm is it inside when it’s -20 outside.
@krashnpa17 күн бұрын
I wish FSR would add a pass- thru for a hose (diesel heater, AC) to these tents. A stove jack is nice, but looking for something that covers all bases.

Just used mine for a two week hunt in Kansas. It was awesome! I see some worries about set up and velcro on the windows but I’ll say it performed great. I set it up in just a few minutes with ease. It withstood some insane Kansas winds and even a thunderstorm. No water got in and it was very solid for the winds. Being insulated made it nice to keep warm too. For me it was a great purchase.

After using this tent several times I'm confused why the side doors open top to bottom and not bottom to top. The door is falling over the ladder if you fold it outside the tent. The door is laying on the bedding and youre crawling on it and over it to enter if you fold it to the inside. If it's wet there's no convenient way to deal with it, if you want to avoid bugs getting in you have to zip it up fully. All of this could be avoided if the doors just had the hindge point at the top. Easier access, no worries about it blocking the ladder or being inside the tent on your bedding getting trampled over, being able to have it unzipped and still hanging closing the opening blocking bugs from getting in and not getting water inside the tent. Very curious why in the world the desing has the doors opening to the bottom as I can't see any benefit from this?

You ask a valid question. Makes total sense to zip to the top.

We decided against the floor in this version because we wanted people to be able to stake out the walls and use them as needed. Our Anywhere Camp Mat can be used if you need a floor for this.

@@gofsrI think the enclosed floor was an awesome idea because it protected against bugs and snakes and such from being able to sneak their way in as easily… I know a lot of us with kids use the bottom annex/room for their sleeping area. I think if you guys had the option for a floor on the V2 they’d sell!

Great product! For non-Evo RTT customers, this would an amazing and innovative 90 degree pull out awning + room product! A lock out awning, fold down legs, with the fabric to create an enclosed room, all self contained in one bag, and already lightweight under 25 lbs. Would love potentially see variants of this in the future!

If you have Evo V2, you can utilize the rear door for this with the extra set of ladder brackets provided with the tent.

Velcro for the floor seems like a cost savings as opposed to a zipper which would be much more effective at keeping stuff out of the tent. Given how expensive these are
@nabzim2 ай бұрын
Yeah honestly I was actually interested in the tent until I saw that... A non-removeable floor would actually be much better than this. sucks because I really liked how the walls are all mesh for maximum breeze when camping in the heat. All the other similar style tents have closed walls and tiny windows. but I'd rather be hot and sweaty than allow bugs and critters to get in.

Oh wow. I had noticed in my ALite that the mattress was slightly shorter than the footprint. I liked to stuff puffies down at my feet and arbitrarily enjoyed it but I didn't know it was intentionally designed that way. Neato! But I gotta disagree with the only fabric color option being black. If I left the tent deployed for a late hot morning, putting down the u-bar is like sticking my hand in a furnace and burns my knuckles as the rainfly heats up. Also most of the surface of the tent in the hot sun is incredibly hot by 9am so being an early riser has its advantages.

The one thing that is making me hold off buying and Aspen Lite for my FJ Cruiser is that I wish there was a skylight window. Even if there’s a bar in the way it would still be nice to see the stars as that’s my main reason for camping.
@cstout16342 ай бұрын
Why would you make this tent all black????? The walls are a big miss too. Velcro attachment and not zippered. Way too much area to allow water or wind in. Learn from shiftpods mistakes don’t make new ones.
