Where can a guy find a 24 inch 325 bar? Or did you swap to 3/8?
@CharlesBrisco6 сағат бұрын
Swap to 3/8 or change tip

@CharlesBrisco that's what I was figuring. Thanks for confirming. I haven't been on in a couple months. I hope things are getting better for you.

Man that saw sounds good! I was wondering if you have experimented with less than .020" squish? One of the motorcycle racing books I read the author claimed a minimum of .01mm per mm of stroke. That equates to .014" on a 36mm stroke 372, less of course for a 4910. I have stacked base gaskets on my saw and am thinking about trying .016" as it would be easy to do. At .022" now. My intake is already at 80btdc though so might be a little long.

Runs good! Seen an interesting idea on another channel that is a lot easier to use on a stihl. He is trying various modifications on an 026 and dynoing the results. He offset his cylinder .060 towards the exhaust and picked up a 1/4 of a hp. Went from 4.02 to 4.27. Hayseed and sawdust I think was the channel name.

I've seen it I've scooted them back an forward an even milled the case to tilt them I think I'm subbed to hid channel too it's easier to do on flat bases but still can be done on other styles too

I just bought my first Echo, a CS4920 (the replacement for the 4910). I know this saw is a clamshell design. What is your opinion of the saw? Do you think it will hold up? Or should l offload it and try to find a 4910? Obviously there is no "right" answer, but I am just looking for an opinion. I am using it for my backup saw in my sawmill operation. My primary saw is a 562xp. Thanks!

My dad was huge into MG-Austin Healey 3000’s and we’d open up a motor and find knurled pistons. On my recent Makita 5000 build I cut horizontal oil lines on that ex skirt. About 2-3 thou deep and I go edge to edge those grooves aren’t enough to make a difference In performance. Also chamfer the piston edges and specifically the skirt bottoms so they don’t act like a scraper and wipe the bore clean when hot. Small details like these can really help. Cool stuff
