aphex's attention to detail is absurd. my favorite part is in the beginning where one of the synth layers freaks the fuck out and jumps octaves almost purely because its not the base anymore, the 303 and sub kicked in to anchor so it just does whatever

I can't seem to find this original version anywhere except this KZbin video and one other youtube video... A track length of 9:09 seems to be available from the Vinyl release of this album, but not on the Double Edition or the original album release on Spotify or the CD edition on Discogs... Where can I find this version of the song for download??!

This just popped into my recommendations after like God knows how long and I'm more than thankful it did. This track just sounds so melancholy, like a far away inhabited galaxy crying out for someone, anyone, to come into contact with for centuries only to be met with the cold silence of space, slowly snuffed out by their kind's own hubris. That is when the messages finally reach us as we too are shouting into the cosmos, a glimmer of hope as we listen for an answer that was yet to come. Alas, it was too late, for it took traveling hundreds of thousands of lightyears to reach us, as we are the last beings to hear the cries of a long forgotten civilization.

a lot of people think different things Genius lyrics says it's "My boyfriend was crying, in New York" (which I think is it) I've heard some people say "My friends aren't supposed to cry/die"
