How very fitting, that this was sung in Rotterdam. A City that was just as Devastated as Dresden was, wich the saong was originally written about. It gives this rendition a very special power and i encurage everyone to look up what happend to the Ciry of Rotterdam in WW2

Magnificent , celestial . No one has ever been able to describe where a piece of music like this comes from but we all know what it is experientially and eventually give up trying to put words to that experience and just sit back and let it have you .

Well, anyone that likes classical music knows agnus dei.
@judgefonti57864 күн бұрын
Agnus Dei just refers to anything sung or performed during specific liturgy or rites. This one is a choir rendition of Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings”

Beauty and passion. My mind can barely understand and comprehend the abject genius to this. "There is no sorrow on earth that heaven cannot heal". This piece is a start though.

Wat een prachtige uitvoering weer in deze serie cantatediensten! Leuk om Samuel Wong en Robert Franenberg van de Ned. Bachvereniging in het ensemble mee te zien doen.

Kharak is being consumed by a firestorm. The Scaffold has been destroyed. All orbital facilities destroyed. Significant debris ring in low Kharak orbit. Receiving no communication from anywhere in the system... Not even beacons.

I detect no discernible words to this hymn. The choir is using their voices as a massive musical instrument. How powerful!

I just piss on myself 😮😮❤❤❤. So much power and beauty is amazing
This takes so much vocal control to sing. Each of these choir members is an outstanding vocal musician. The sopranos on the high sections - so beautiful and tastefully done. I could listen to this to all day. For anyone who doesn't know, this Latin prayer is translated in English to "Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace."

I (and about 100 of my closest friends) performed this Mass last Sunday (with two pianos and harmonium). What a joy! The Cum Sancto is amazing. Just when you think it's about to wind down, it comes back even harder. Ditto the Et Vitam section. I pity the pianist, who has an extremely heavy lift to get through this work! I was positioned in the middle of the chorus for this performance and the fortissimo sections were almost overwhelming. I'm very glad to have had the opportunity to perform this piece. Thank you Mr. Rossini! And so it's not totally about me... The performance in this video is wonderful. Thank you for sharing it with the world.
