Hello Christine, it is just like flying along in the airplane, watching the video! It is part of a series of flight that I made to show the progress of the new construction that was taking place. Meanwhile in this video you see the town of Lock Haven at the beginning and can pick out the Walmart and Lowes and Sheets downtown. The video stopped just before I was entering the traffic pattern to land at the airport.

I actually made this video a few years ago as part of an aerial view of some new construction for the company First Quality close to the airport which is only about a mile to the left of the building in the view on the video. I did not realize until the other day, it was only able to be seen privately, so now I changed that and made it public. Certainly an advantage of having a pilot's license to get this kind of view. Thanks.

Let me just say one thing to you if you get to complex aircraft, and that is no more touching goats. I never did it with my advanced students. And I don't think anyone should. Let's run a couple checklist and get set for the next take off.😊
@EHV8R3 ай бұрын
The truth is that when I was a student pilot I never did any touch and goes. Not one time for the same reason you stated, and in fact it wasn't until after I already had my license and was being checked out in another airplane that when I went to do a full stop landing that instructor was not prepared for me to do that, and when I told him I had never done a touch and go, he called my first instructor to verify I was telling the truth! So, having flown for 14 years and more than 1100 hours and 900 of which is in this airplane I am pretty confident in my ability to do that now, and would indeed make full stop landings while being trained in an unfamiliar plane.
@neatstuff19883 ай бұрын
@EHV8R add airlines in the early going. We did training and checking in the actual airplanes. Fast category C and D aircraft, the metro 3. The F27 or convert 580. Even the lear jet. We always did our landings to A. Full stop. hop your way into a bonanza, you should do the same thing in my opinion twenty thousand hours airlines. Never bent an airplane, except for bird strikes.
@EHV8R3 ай бұрын
@@neatstuff1988 I really do appreciate your comments and advice I really do. And I don't often do them except in this case, it doesn't count as a landing unless you do touch down, Plus, it is also good practice in case of a go around, for a bad landing anyway. I am always aware of where on the runway I touch down as well, that can make a difference. Thanks! Sure would like a ride in anyone of those planes you mentioned! 😊Blues skies!

@@EHV8R Same here, they flew over my town (which happens to mark the halfway point between PHL and ABE) at least a dozen times a day everyday since my infancy, all throughout my childhood, and much of my adolescence too! Hearing its propellers’ dissonant drone (instead of a buzzing hum), its aerodynamic whoosh (instead of a gentle whir), and of course its obnoxious whistle (similar to the FOPP howl). All of which made it sound like a cross between a jet than a prop, more so of a jet while still sounding very different from both. Because of how loud it was and how distinctive its sound was, everyone in my neighborhood knew it when one was flying by even from indoors. I stopped hearing them in October 2017 when it was replaced with the much quieter ERJ-145. Though its thunderous roar can still be very loud at times, not to mention its subtle whine.

I still to this day after 12 years of flying sometimes sit behind the yoke in disbelief that I am actually doing this! Each step of the way during training becomes a milestone of progress, so keep at it and fly as much as you can as often as you can, and you will solo before you know it, and that is enough motivation to keep you training to finish up for your certificate. Then you can take your friends and family and share the thrill. That's what I do almost every flight. Including this one.
