I love this, the wire isn't as easy to pull out of my ribbon.

Was hoping your video would be more detailed. I would like to wrap lampshade with ribbon vertically, however when it comes to the spokes at top I'm at a lose. How do you go around them as ribbon doesn't always go around them smoothly?

Hi, is this fireproof on the inside? thank you
@vvrouleaux67722 жыл бұрын
No you would need to add a barrier, Richard
@christyvanderbilt172 жыл бұрын
@@vvrouleaux6772 Thanks for the answer. i am presuming commercial lampshades have a fire retardant film. I wonder what you have shown is actually dangerous?
@vvrouleaux67722 жыл бұрын
@@christyvanderbilt17 Hi Christy, not necessarily some might have. You could spray with a flame retardant. Ribbons per se are a narrow fabric and generally fall outside flame retardancy rules, eg they are used in commercial events without being treated. Richard

Very lovely and something I learned to create decades ago (I used to sell berets and accessories adorned with smaller ribbon roses that I crushed a bit for a vintage look). For anyone seeing this, these roses can be made with much less ribbon and still be just as beautiful. If you don’t wish to stitch, you can add hot glue or strong fabric glue to the back with a small circle of felt, being sure to include the concentric edges of the inner back of the rose. You can also add brooch or hair clip finding. I love to clip these onto to wrapped gifts so the recipient has a “gift on a gift”, which not only makes a stunning presentation, but is always joyfully received. Oh, one more thing, these also make gorgeous Christmas tree ornaments.

This is a tacky hot mess. They are called centerpieces for a reason, the impact should be at the CENTER of the table. Makes it easier for people to actually eat at the table.
