Alocasia Amazonica and Alocasia Polly are two different plants... both are hybrids. Based on the size of your leaves, I believe you have an Alocasia Amazonica. Polly leaves are smaller.

Beautiful alocasias. May be you can try to make a video on how to propagate alocasia from an alocasia corm in the future (not sure if European plant sellers sell corms but here in Indonesia many planters buy corms and grow alocasia from corms)

Thank you for this! I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve said out loud “Why would he even want to eat this?!”😆 Also, we pronounce it AL- O (aloe) ❤️

You would probably benefit from taking them out of terra cotta pots. The terra cotta really pulls away a lot of the extra moisture and humidity that they need.

Absolutely beautiful.. 😍 Calathea are my absolute favorite.. Nothing can beat them when it comes to beauty and foliage.. Though they are little finicky and they don't love me that much.. 🙃😁 But I'm learning gradually how to keep them happy.. Thanks for sharing.. It helps..

Thanks for helping me identify the scales insects. They have attacked my bird of paradise and staghorn plants which I keep indoors in the winter. I’ll start treatment this weekend!

Because of quarantine I got really into plants and got my Alocasia zebrina (at the time didn't even know it's name) and it got so huge over the past month. Some weeks ago I also rescued a Red Secret and a Polly. Today I bought a Alocasia Cucullata ♡ Can you give me some tips on how to treat them in winter, because it will be my first one with my precious plant collection:) Creating a from Germany :3

I don’t get why people only replace the top layer of the soil to get rid of fungal gnats but when u shake or tap the pot, gnats come out the bottom/ drainage

It's early fall and I will soon bring in my alocasia "morocco" once it starts getting too cold. It loves being outside in the shade in the summer. I'd like to divide and transplant it. Is it a bad time to do this since it will go dormant soon? Should I wait till spring when she will start to grow again? Enjoyed your video. Thanks.

Hi just I want to ask some questions about my alocasia zebrina. Its leaves are getting yellow even the big ones and very droopy. What can I do?
@MarionBotanical4 жыл бұрын
Hi ! well it could be too much watering or water in the roots (If so try to delay a bit the watering time) Does his pot has holes for drainage? (for the droopy part of the zebrina, I have to admit, mine has a stick to help the leaves and the stems stay up)

hello I'm from Indonesia, and I have a few plants that you might be looking for at a low price from starting price of 7 $... you can directly ask me on the Instagram account I just created. if the plant you want is not in my garden, I will find it in the garden where I live. and my plants are ready to be sent to various countries with a legal letter that we will prepare. ig :delissiosa

Thanks for the tips! I also find alicasias easy to care for, IF one has the good conditions for them. At the same time I also find that they stress very easily, as you said for instance, due to spot change, and stress can be lethal. Mine got spidermites due to stress and one of the two stems died... I also find that they love very bright light, more than other indoor plants. Mine are in west facing windows, right on the window sill behind a thin curtain and are thriving. The amazonica has two flowers right now. I also let it somewhat dry between watering but mist them heavily everyday. However I agree that they are not a high humidity demanding plant. BTW I am think on getting a silver dragon. Do you find any difference between the amazonica or zebrina and other alocasias in terms of care and needs?
@MarionBotanicalEngl4 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah the zebrina is by far the easiest 😀 grow like craycray super quick
