Maybe max is the biological child of someone else in goofy’s family, like a cousin or niece that ever died or some how was out of picture to raise max so goofy took on that responsibility which could also explain why max is biologically related to him and also still leave the fact that goofy getting married is seen as being silly

Unpopular opinion but I think that Disney's altered version of the ending has a lot more sentiment when you contextualize all the books as Milne attempting to relive his childhood. Winne the Pooh (Childhoold) will always be with you, not far off and you can always visit him when you need to, just like how a nostalgic memory or place can help through hard times. He will always be there for you.
