Willie Nelson was really good in this episode. Just enough rough edged Texas Ranger meanness along with sassy comments. He was a reflection of Crockett at a later stage in life.

How did he miss with a submachine gun at that range while having the drop on him?

Jack didn't open fire to kill Castillo, he did so to give Castillo an excuse to take him out. Jack had Castillo promise to keep his wife and son safe, and he knew he was a walking dead man and that whoever came after him would hunt his family also. You can't tell me that such a feared and experienced assassin like Jack was such a lousy shot that he'd completely miss Castillo at such a close range. Jack knew exactly what he waa doing; he wanted out permanently, and Castillo's hands were the only ones he wanted to die by brcause despite their differences, Castillo was the only man he trusted with his life.

Another cool irony is that, years earlier, Edward appeared in an episode of Starsky and Hutch. A few years later Paul (Starsky) directed 3 episodes of Miami Vice. Poetic happenings for 2 shows that were big hits during their run times.

Castillo added so much to this show! Edward stated that when he first came on to the show he was viewed as "Darth Vader". He seemed do unlikable at first yet, as the episodes progressed he turned out to be such a cool character!

I believe this track (at least some remake or variation of it) was also used by WWE in April 2007, the night that John Cena and Shawn Michaels had their near-hourlong match. A terrific highlight reel of their WrestleMania 23 match a few weeks prior aired on the broadcast, but I can't find it anywhere on YT. Source: Peacock (WWE Raw - April 23, 2007) Castillo-centered episodes tend to be the strongest for me when I've done a marathon of this show. This and the Golden Triangle make me think he could have had his own spinoff series, showcasing his time outside America. There's a tense intimacy when he becomes the focus, buoyed by the five-star music that acts like a looming dread and almost foreign seasoning to it.

As "dangerous" as Gretsky is supposed to be, he can't hit a stationary target from 10 feet with a machine pistol despite putting out about 30 rounds.

Lt.Castillo is a mysterious/dangerous man as it evident from the fact he is considered as equally dangerous as Jack Gretsky by the CIA.

The spook could have easily riddled Castillo with holes before he even had chance to draw his revolver but he deliberately shot the wall instead of the Lt because they were really good friends and in doing so Castillo had a chance to end it for the spook .

Comment 403: This is EXACTLY the sort of thing you set up a five-year-old to pay off for your "retirement" 40 years later, isn't it? Tell that "Constable" to give me back my katana and the rest of my Blades. Until then, I have no "benefits" to provide. 1:11 pm CST Sept. 13, 2022 Charity Colleen Crouse
