Looks like a blast Captain; good job by the crew and guests! Been fishing the Great Lakes since the 1970’s, but unfortunately haven’t fished LO much for the last 20 years or so….gonna change that up this year for sure!! Thank you for the video and all of the effort that goes into it. God bless.

I guess that’s the ticket is to smoke small Kokes. For me I like the taste of Kokanee and we eat 12-20” fish and don’t waste time smoking them. We use smoking for lesser tasting fish such as trout or lake salmon

The funniest thing I ever read was " sand ants and nudity on the nisqualy " it was the commentary article in a salmon trout steelheader . Bill Herzog wrote it . I took it out of the magazine , put it in a ziplock bag and put it in my steelhead tackle box . Always gets a good laugh on a slow fishing day.

Nice video. However, rather than myseis shrimp being introduced into Priest Lk in the 1990's, I believe it was in the 60's.

Thanks for the update. I’ve been asking you for years why there is no mackerel scented fish attractants available in any market. You’ve told me a few times that you’re still looking into it. Wondering if you’ve had any success finding the answer. Thanks!

Bitter End Marina!!!! I grew up there. The naval research barge out there is to test submarines. The lakes like 1200 ft deep it's insane. Granddad used to catch Cokes out by the old concrete plant in the 70s

Will these plugs work for kings in saltwater? Raith your built like a Silverback
@AnglerWestTV13 күн бұрын
KillerFish will work in the salt but they are speed sensitive so usually lures like Super Baits are used because they can handle higher speeds or more current. In the right situation though, a KillerFish could be deadly in the salt. The smaller K14s can handle more current or speed. Try them out and let us know how you do.

question for my friends I mostly fish the alsea or siletz or S. Santiam. have travelled like fishing tillamook tidewater narrow and so many rivers connect there. Finally bought a boat but the honey hole was locked . So i Need to find other access fished there a lot on the bank . I am gonna guess boat launching access is at the bay. my local rivers are swarmed and after 15 yrs I just would rather go home we always forget to bring anything besides Glocks with #1.25 or so for hornady critical defense always try to keep at least for defense to expensive to practice +p hornady critical defense ain't cheap. So me and my dad meant to keep a couple box's of blazer but we everytime we fish the alsea if an unproductive day of fishing because the public shooting range is on marys peak only place in the world I do not get allergies and is the best calming meditative. and if i walkn about 75yrds uphill none goes there and you can see corvallis albany on the top and can see the whole alsea valley super pretty. eith eitherway way sidearms are of the biggest priority then hunting rifles and shotguns. and our AR 15's

I lost 3 fishing lures today on the same structure, and throwing a tantrum I hit my fishing pole, the top half came off and went in the water.. most frustrating fishing day of my life..
@AnglerWestTV28 күн бұрын
Go back to the same structure. Go lighter, keep your rod tip up. Imaging what the structure looks like in your mind and where the fish might be. Imagine that the fish is a kitten that you are trying to tease out with a little toy. If you're using treble hooks switch to a single Siwash. Don't feel like you need to buy the most expensive lures and rods. Composite rods are stronger than 100% graphite. Relax.
