I think Araki's writing is stronger in other parts, but I followed the Part 3 anime weekly and had so much fun with it. I'm a simple man, raised on Scooby Doo, and a Villain of the Week with a unique gimmick and interesting way to overcome it, seems to always appeal. It's not the peak of what JoJo can be, but it was so enjoyable at the time.

Berserk titan isn't that deep. It's literally just AoT didn't have a season 2 greenlit and there wasn't a lot of content at that point remaining as well. The fight itself is also not the climax you would want from season 1 so in order for it to feel like a big payoff it was a stylistic choice to go out on a bang. It's the same with how the scars titan shifters have after exiting their titans weren't that consistent in season 1

After finishing the manga. I truly believe gege messed up killing geto off so early. I think he would have been a perfect final villain to end the series on.. his character was so eell written. I would have loved to see him talk with yuji 💯🔥

I read the manga and liked Mello and Near, the only thing I didn't like was Mikami going out of his way to kill Takabata himself. Light clearly told Mikami to not use the notebook until the final encounter with Near, til then Mikami followed Kira's words to a t, and only did things himself when he had nothing to go off of. I do think Near winning is good conclusion in the end, but the way it all centered on the one mistake Mikami did, which felt out of character, kinda brush me the wrong way.
