There are a lot of Knife companies that do this. The reason for G10 on one side is because when you clip it in your pocket, it doesnt tear your pants up. The CRKT Squid comes to mind, and I think there are some Spyderco knives that do this. It gives you enough grip, but also slides right out of the pocket without tearing things up. I actually like this knife, its in my EDC rotation along with my Spyderco knives and my Kershaw Launch 6

@@phantomstrike3310 Thanks for the comment 👍🍻 I'm sure there is a hypothetical advantage to this style of knife, but I am not seeing it in practice; this knife is unrefined, unergonomic & suffers from poor build quality. Any way you spin it, Schrade.swung & missed with this design IMO.

@@Editsbetterthenyours I've been carrying mine for over a year now off & on and it's been solid overall; I actually like it better than the 110 Hunter Slim & 110 Hunter Lite I previously owned...👍

I liked seeing the gun close up and hearing about its pros and cons. 👍

@@airgunsofalaska Thanks for watching & commenting Scott 👍🍻 I know there were way too many "uhs" and "ums" in there, but I tried haha 😁🤔🤣🤤😂 If I could pick from Jon's currently available guns right now, I'd probably take the $290 400 Galaxy Compact Gas Ram in .22 caliber & put a peep on it... speaking of, how did you like the Daisy 5899 when you tried it on your Gamo?

@@natesmith5393 Ha! You’re being too hard on yourself. The more videos you film the easier it gets. I liked the peep sight set up quite a bit and I’m planning to go back to it. I want to use the scope from the CFX on one of my other guns. I’ve not shot it without the scope for months now, so I’m curious to see if I notice an improvement at close range from when I first owned it.

I have a 5.5mm with 55kg gas ram from Quickshot. I replaced the trigger spring with a spring with 0.6mm thread. It's really good to shoot now... It's not powerful, but it's good fun

I have that exact knife got zero issues. Don't use to much lubricant it will actually make things worse. Just use pivot screw to loosen it up same gors for Benchmade knifes that sometimes have pivot screws too tight by factory and it barely open (claymore) To set pivot screw perfectly just tight up pivot screw open the blade to 90 degrees and slowly loosen it up until blade opens on its own. then manually open the knife to 45 degree and if the spring opens it up you are gucci. If not loosen it up slowly until it opens on its own. Wors case scenario it m8ght be too cold in your area for teflon washers so you need to swap em to copper ones

@@LuiGiBon000 thanks for the comment 👍🍻 I actually dumped this thing off for $10 & wasn't sad about it; the guy who bought it carries it some, and the last time I saw it, the blade lockup was scary loose... terrible quality, design & execution from Schrade IMO. My SOG Flash II was ten times the knife for roughly the same coin... After being very good initially, Scrade's customer service rapidly cooled on me & they refused to replace this one for me...still they've been fine with other knife issues I've had overall & this was a good learning experience for me... appreciate you taking the time to offer helpful advice for folks 👍👍

The arms companies all made a pile of guns like this for many years ...sadly, not so popular anymore it seems... I once had a very early production Winchester 67 that was minty as could be & shot like a house afire 😁🔥👍 I'm still kicking myself for letting that great single shot go...🤪😭

Thanks 👍 Yeah, we have both kinds too, but I've never hunted the gray squirrels; reds, chipmunks, and woodchucks yes, as they are all problematic at times. I'd love to go down south or out west someday and try my hand at hunting fox squirrels, jackrabbits, etc. 😁👍
