I tried this however when I go to edit > auto-blend. It is not even an option in the edit tab. I downloaded the 2025 version. But not sure what to do?

make sure that when you do that you have selected the layer with the cutout face and transparent background and the layer with the missing face just like in the video

Yes, learn Photoshop and do it yourself. BTW, GraphicRiver is a very respected and well established website for graphic designers, it's part of the Envato group, with millions of users so not sure why you wouldn't trust it.

I bought this and tried using it in Photoshop 2025 but it stops at a point and says “Could not complete the command because the selected pattern is not available” :(

don't worry, that's an easy fix. Please check in the package the .pat file. You need to install it as it's probably not installed. Try going to Window > Patterns and load the pat file from there

thanks! please make sure that you follow the steps in the tutorial - the error you mention seems to indicate that either the layers are not both selected or the face in the background is not cutout. give it another try from the start and let me know if it worked. good luck!

hi, the end result is not meant for printing, but if you don't need A3 or some big physical size you will get decent results. alternatively you can use a tool that can do AI upscaling tool like MockoFun

Im doing a charcoal portrait but my ref image isn't that great. The lighting is a little flat. Could AI be used to take a photo of a face and say "using this face add Rembrandt style lighting"? Would the AI need more than one photo of the same face to be more accurate? Since the fall of light delineates the various planes of the face and thus makes a face recognisable Im not sure AI will work unless it can compare a few photos of the same face but in different orientations and lighting.

this is a bit difficult to answer here, but I suggest trying out MockoFun, especially the AI edit option for photos. You have ai filters, guided transform and Image to Image tools that would maybe work in your case, but you'll have to experiment. Start with image to image and in the instructions go with something like "charcoal drawing, rembrandt lighting" with 0.35-0.5 strength

In the top menu you should have View > Zoom In/Out. There are also keyboard shortcuts for this (think it's Cmd +/- on Mac)

hi Sid, not sure exactly what you mean. In Photoshop open a photo and then drag the second photo into the same document. Photoshop will put each photo into their own layer, so you should end up with 2 layers

@@Sid-07 please don't get discouraged, I make tutorials for people that don't know how to do things :) So, after opening a photo, you can add another photo as a layer also by going to File > Place Embeded then choosing the new image. That will add the new image as a new layer, but you have to right click on the layer and click Rasterize, to make it "editable"

So thanks for your help, i know i can ask you when i get stuck. Also is there a basic tutorial for beginners who haven't got a clue about photoshop? I've had photoshop for many years, never used it, ive been using photoshop fix and mix on android, till they discontinued it, it was so easy to use.
