I experienced five years ago. I think it happened when I went inside from 15 below into a job office trailer 75 degrees. That's when I felt th change. I'm about 75 percent better. I miss not being able to whistle at all. When I go to job interviews I'm always asked if I've had a stroke.

Dr. Hall, I am worried that your conclusions that AI will replace doctors are correct. Your observations about the algorithms and the systems prioritizing the number of the patients seen are correct. My hospital uses the Epic charting system which is supposed to be one of the better ones, and it has best practice advisories that us nurses see also that are helpful but it is also very clear that the computer is not seeing the whole picture about the patient's condition. When AI improves it could likely replace much of the PAs and NPs jobs as well, though, if it formulates recommended orders and does much of their charting. As a registered nurse I spend about 5 hours at the nurses' station charting each 12 hour shift. If I could, say, narrate my assessment into the computer while doing it and the computer templated my progress note from it, it would replace a lot of the paperwork we do. Thus the number of jobs for nurses could easily be affected as well.

I had to assist a doctor who had done surgery on a man who had been abusing a powdery substance, shall we say. That man screamed like a little girl as the Doctor was pulling the packing out of his nose, I could not imagine how painful it must have been for a grown man to put up such a fuss.

I had a facelift 15 months ago, and since then, my left eyebrow has been immobile. It has a little movement at the end of the brow, and that’s all. I have lost my facial expression, and I feel so worried that it will stay that way. I started physical therapy and electrotherapy. I have used Proserin and Nuclo injections, but none of these have helped. What can I do?
@DrJasonHall3 күн бұрын
So sorry to hear. I answered your question in a short video. Brow paralysis and drooping that comes with it is a terrible issue, but can be addressed with a brow lift. It won't restore motion, but will put your brow back where it should be.

I know many women that had mold in their capsules. I disagree about the en bloc. It is necessary to remove.
@DrJasonHall5 ай бұрын
The data that we have so far says that en bloc resections cause much more harm than good, and are indicated only in (rare) cases of cancer. Anecdotal reports of mold exist, but they are VERY unusual (which is why you hear about them).

Sleeping on beds doesn’t cut it for me. I thought sleeping on the longest couch available, leaving space above my head or below my feet for my cat, was the way to go, but I was wrong. I got a rocking chair recliner and it’s made all the difference. It’s not electric, so if the power goes out I’m not trapped.

The reason I sleep in a recliner is to keep from having back pain!
@TheMusicman9613 ай бұрын
I gave my recliner to the fire station after having it for a year and never using it. I really thought I wanted one my whole adult life until I bought one and sitting in it killed my lower back, I just could never get a comfortable sitting position in it. Like Dr. Hall said, they really are not good for your back. I am having rotator cuff surgery in 3 weeks and will try and sleep in my bed.

I've been sleeping in a recliner for the past twelve years. It's great for my dustmite allergy coz you don't have a mattress (obviously) or need a pillow, and it's reeeally comfortable.

I am 59 and am today PO 12 from my Tummy Tuck, but after I had my tubes removed I felt HEALED. I next day, we had sex and also the next day. My recovery has been nothing compared to others I watched on YT and yet I am the oldest I have seen on YT! My Dr. said I was healing up fast and had a high threshold of pain. Walking 1/4 mile on day 2 with hubby and dog, and even survive a coughing fit on the second day of after surgery! My belly muscles don't hurt anymore if I strain them by accident, and only feel tightness still from having 10 in. of skin removed. I think I must be Wonder Woman of something to have this happening to me already!

I agree. I wasn't post-op, but in 2009, I lost my job due to the rescession at age 62, and have not worked since. In the immediate aftermath of losing my job, me and my family (adult son and 12 year old granddaughter, and ex-wife (disabled), had to move in with my mother in our family home. My son and I, for three years, switch off every night, one sleeping on an old futon, and one sleeping on my late dad's recliner. My back is still messed up from that, and I got far less sleep than optimum, as well, as the recliner was located in the living room - so no privacy or quiet. I do not recommend it for sleeping.

When I was a helicopter pilot working for a medivac company, I would sleep on a recliner in our living room, uniform and boots on. When we would get an alert call the adrenalin would start flowing and would last until we got back to the base after the mission. Sometimes 2 or 3 missions. Did it for 3 years and retired at age 67. Never really had any sleep issues and would make up for it sleeping in the day. We had 7 days on duty then 7 days off duty then 7 nights of duty. My sleep pattern was out of wack from age 18 spending 14 years in the military, 17 years for American Airlines, and finally the medivac job. Now that I am retired, 7 years now my sleep pattern is terrible?

I’ve had some insulting comments from people over this very issue. One girl said, “ Well . Your Botox 😊looks good . But you should have gotten more in the forehead. You still have all those wrinkles there . “ . I had to explain to her that I can’t freeze my forehead because of my brows . She then told me the spots her injector goes in to prevent that . But I’d already been injected there with odd results . People who don’t have low brows don’t understand. Although I didn’t particularly care what these people thought of me , it would make me wish so badly that I could have that smooth forehead without looking like a Neanderthal or a zombie 🤣. I also get more puffy eye issues with forehead Botox . Some injectors would blame seasonal allergies. But think the lack of movement causes fluid buildup. Especially if I get crows feet done too .
