I told her to do that so that the sound wouldn't come through the voice over. It is funny;) She was a good sport and is actually an excellent typist.

It is Canadian English which is a blend of American and British English; similar accent to Americans but spelling and pronunciation like British.

Waste of time once you start taking calls and PAN OUT while she's pushing buttons. Video either just shows the phone sitting there without anyone pushing buttons or shows her pushing random buttons without any explanation.

A little more explanation and clarity would be appreciated ! Camera was blurred the entire time she was busy pushing some random buttons.

I haven't learnt anything...the camera should have been on the phone the entire time. I was guessing the entire time what she was doing. And if this video is to help someone who has no experience with pbx system, this -without having a similar replica in front of them- helped 0%

How is someone supposed to create a meeting minutes document when there is No time, names of attendees, and previous minutes?
@fraserhawkins44629 жыл бұрын
+Shannon Fendley Make up the time and name the women yourself. Here: This meeting took place on January 28th, 2016, at 3pm. The women's names are Sarah, Laura, and Betsy. THAT WAS SO HARD.
@mzk123ify8 жыл бұрын
+Fraser Hawkins in a real meeting you would not make up names. One key to good minute taking is to be able to catch who says what, and who seconds motions etc. It is a skill even more useful when taking minutes for a group you are unfamiliar with. She had a good question...

You should always ask the customer/client if they mind being place on hold for a moment..not just tell them you're going to place them on hold. Upon returning to the call, you should always thank them for holding. .then proceed with the call.

+gharbitta Grey: Okay, so for this mornings meeting, we got a couple of things on the agenda to discuss. Um, first I’m gonna start by talking about our scheduling processes. Cause I know some of our staff are using their outlook counters and some staff are using web tracker, some people use both. But that’s creating double books, and those other bookings can create a lot of confusion in the front reception areas when those double bookings do occur. Um, so, I would like to talk about the process on how we can streamline it, that process to um make it a little easier for the receptionist, to make appointment to flow a little more fluidly. Um, are you using web tracker or are you using outlook for yours? Blue: I primarily use web tracker, but I try to use outlook just for my own personal appointments, but that doesn’t mean there couldn’t be some conflict there. Grey: Right, because if you have an appointment or something like that, that might not be reflected in the tracker. Blue: Exactly, exactly Grey: Okay, and what about yourself? Black: I use both, but I find that I am in a really unique situation, because I am the contact between the two different facilities. Grey: Right Black: So..err.. my only contact with the other facilities is with the web tracker. However, all of our facilitators use outlook. So I’m having to do outlook, because it’s easier for them to pull up emails as oppose to web tracker because depending on where they are, they might not have access. So um, I know what like happened this week with one our classes who had a whole bunch of appointments. It was on outlook, but it was not on web tracker, but they were double booked on web tracker as doing a training session. So uh, we had a major confusion. Grey: Yea…… Black: Heheheheheehe Blue: So what’s the solution Grey: I, my… thoughts are, I already talked to IT, we cannot merge both, so.. There won’t be any communication between an outlook counter and a web tracker counter, so that’s not gonna be an option for us. So, my thoughts are to either we suggest to people to use one or the other, so that company is all on the same page, so that there is no confusion. Blue: I’ll just need to use webtracker Grey: Yea. Because our downtown location also has access to web tracker, also with outlook, you need to grant access to everybody to be able to view different calendars…mumbles gibberish Black: well, webtracker being web based as well, if we are away, we can still remote, yea.. Grey: Yea…So are you guys okay with that? Blue: yes Black: yes Grey: So I’ll head that one off and um we’ll have to send out some sort of communication to staff regarding that. Black: yea, if you want to uh put uh like a little tutorial together on how to use calendars in webtracker, the next thing I’m gonna do is obviously change our policies. So that it reflects that, we are no longer using outlook for calendar purposes. And uh to make sure the training packages associate with the policy. An we are gonna get that out to all employees as soon as possible. To avoid issue like what we had earlier this week. Grey: Yea, okay, yea okay, yea, that will go with your policy update. I will include that. Black: Uh, So in regards to communication, are we looking at doing mass training, cause I know that this week we do have staff training or do we want to do it via email? Blue: we can do both. Grey: yea yea, I think I would agree. Blue: mumbles… Training, then we can have something written down that we can refer to.. mumbles Grey: so we’ll do both, we’ll send an email and also touch base with our all staff meeting Thursday with everybody. Sound good? Blue: okay Black: perfect Grey: okay Blue: While we are on the topic of emails. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I get a lot of emails, and of course I respond to all of them eventually. But I think it would be really helpful if A. our subject lines were specific. Grey: okay Blue: sometimes, people don’t even put a topic, and that drives me crazy. But even more it would be great if we label it maybe “urgent” or “fyi” or “response required” “response not required. Just something to help me prioritize them. Grey: “please read” Black: I think in regards to that, sorry Grey: no nonono Black: I’ve been getting a lot of emails of high importance that are not. I think we need to have sort of a policy in regards to who, what constitute as high importance or priority. Giggles, hehehehe. That needs to be done quickly. Grey: okay Blue: do you want to get together tomorrow? Or, then we can determine, what the actual words are that we are going to use Black: sure, yea, perfect, wonderful Grey: and then we can communicate that out. So if you guys put that together. And I can also include that in the staff wide email that I’ll send out regarding the scheduling. Okay, yea perfect. Blue: something something, mumbles Grey: Ummm.. lastly on our agenda is the office party that is coming up. We don’t have so many people on our social committee. And it’s quite a bit of work for one person to be doing on their own. So I don’t know if the two of you would be interested in helping participate in that. If not, I know that there is a lot of stuff going on. Everybody’s lives outside of work umm… so that also something I’ll probably send out an email as well. Mumbles. But we’ll need to have I would say a handful of people, at least we need at least three to four working collaborately to uh. Blue: So you are interested in us and us recruiting others. Grey: YES! Grey: hahahahahahahah. Blue: no problem, yea… Grey: perfect. But uh Grey: but by no means feel pressured to participate in it, but if you have the time, I would be pleasantly appreciated. Uh…so we’ve taken care of that. Any other things, any other outstanding topics we need to talk about? Black: no I think we are good, I think we are ready for our staff meeting tomorrow. Grey: perfect, so I’ll start working on the scheduling process, communication, you guys can touch base with the policy update and the email subject line, so we can all put that together and ready for Thursday. And that seems like we’ve covered everything. Great, thank you ladies. Blue: great. Grey: take care Blue: thanks
