The black horses and Nazgûl are armoured, and can’t jump into water or they’ll sink and drown. The Nazgûl did not want to risk their mounts at the Brandywine river, but were willing to take the chance to wade across to Arwen and Frodo. They underestimated the elven magic. ❤

Legit, as you're calling out the class levels these characters probably have, that's how the game designers who made those classes designed them. Ain't no way the dungeons and dragons ranger class isn't just Aragorn.

dang they created those mud people like how finster from power rangers used to make putties and monsters for rita. lol and i didn't expect bilbo to come back so soon. but him turning like that and trying to take the ring jumpscared me, i didn't expect him to do that. i wonder if that means the same thing is going to happen to frodo one day after he holds onto the ring for as long as he did.

Explaining the immortality of the elves in Tolkien's universe: Elves are immortal and are not weakened by illness, disease, and ailments that afflict the race of men. They can only go to "heaven" called Valinor, by either sailing there in the ships of the Grey Havens or by death by the blade. The reason Arwen can give up her immortality is because she, like her father Lord Elrond (and her twin brothers who aren't in the movies) are half elven and half men. Elrond had a twin brother named Elros, and when they were given the choice to live among men or the elves, Elros chose the men side of his blood, giving up his immortality and Elrond chose to be an elf. The Evenstar amulet that Arwen gives Aragorn is just a token of her love and devotion. It's just symbolism. The movie puts too much into it.

I love your reaction to one of my favorite movies of all time. But now I have to defend real sharks and object to your title. Sharks are not brutal. Not in the way you meant it. Yeah, they eat things like fish and seals, but they're no more brutal than a lion or bear. With regard to humans, sharks are nothing like you see in this movie. In 2023 we had 36 shark bites with only 2 fatalities in the entire US, all year. Compare that to the quarter of a billion people at US beaches last year. But sharks are at every beach, all the time, often swimming just yards away from humans in the water. Just do a search for sharks swimming near humans. You'll find hundreds of videos. It's very chilling to see how many sharks are swimming right next to us. But still only 36 shark attacks. By comparison, 58 Americans were killed by dogs in 2023, compared to only 2 killed by sharks. How is it that 250 million people played in shark-infested beaches without more attacks? Because sharks don't eat us. They don't even want to. A shark is as likely to eat you as you are to eat a raw rat. We're just not appetizing to them, we're definitely not on their menu. Every shark attack is a mistake or self-defense when humans are grabbing or poking at them. What Jaws did, hunting people, eating people, staying in one place to eat more people (sharks feed and then swim away; it never happens that one shark bites two people at the same beach, and definitely doesn't kill 5 people at the same beach in a week). Plain and simple: this is a monster movie, not a shark movie. Jaws acts more like a psychopath with a machete at a summer camp than like a real shark.

JAWS FUN FACT: Copy/pasted from the trivia section of the IMDb JAWS page. "Several decades after the film's release, Lee Fierro walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed an "Alex Kintner Sandwich" on the menu. She commented that she had played his mother many years ago. Jeffrey Voorhees, owner of the restaurant, ran out to meet her. He had played her son, and they hadn't seen each other since the original movie shoot."

16:46 When an elf and a human fall in love, the elf is basically doomed to die when their human partner dies, likely out of grief. But these unions are extremely rare, only happening like 3 or 4 times in all of the world's history. But for the half elven children born of such a union (Elrond, for example), they are given the choice whether to have the lifespan of a mortal, or the immortality of an elf, and to be bound to the unltimate fate of either kind. It all comes down to the afterlife basically. It might seem like a no brainer to pick immortality, but that also means that they will exist forever until the world ends, and they will have long since grown weary of the world before that happens. . Even if they die in battle or something, they will eventually be reborn and come back to life, but they will be tired of living after millions and billions of years go by. Whereas humans live briefly and then leave the world, rather than being bound to it. The implication is that humans get to go to heaven and be with Eru Illuvatar (basically "God" with a capital G), but Elves have to stay alive until the end of the world, and they will grow to envy humans.

Fun facts: almost all actors of the Fellowship have the elvish rune for "9" tattooed, except for John Rhys-Davies (Gimli), wo had his body double take it for him. Director Sir Peter Jackson has the elvish "10" inked. He has a cameo in all 3 movies. In this one he is a guy eating a carrot in Bree. The great Sir Christopher Lee (Saruman) was a huge "Lord of the Rings" fan. He owned a first edition, which he is said to have read several times and had even met author J.R.R. Tolkien in person. The scene where Gandalf bumps his head in Bilbo´s house was not scripted, but being the extraordinary actor he is, Sir Ian McKellen made the best of the moment.

Shark attacks on humans are rare, but there are some steps you can take to reduce your risk of being bitten: Avoid certain times Don't swim at dawn, dusk, or in the dark when sharks are most active. Also avoid swimming right after a storm. Avoid certain areas Stay close to shore and avoid murky water, deep channels, and waters with known discharges or sewage. Also avoid areas where people are fishing, especially if there are signs of baitfish or feeding activity, like diving seabirds. Avoid certain behaviors Don't swim if you're bleeding from an open wound or menstruating, as sharks can smell blood. Also avoid harassing or trying to touch sharks, and don't wear shiny jewelry or bright colors, as they can resemble fish scales or shark prey. Be aware Look for signs that a shark might be near, such as circling birds, splashing water, or feeding seals and dolphins. If you do see a shark, try to keep it in sight and slowly swim backwards towards shallow water. You can also use an electrical pulse device (ESD) to repel the shark.

Great white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) are one of the most feared predators in the ocean due to their size and reputation. However, there has been much scientific research conducted to try to understand their feeding habits. So, how often does a great white shark eat? To answer this question, it is important to understand the factors that influence their feeding habits, such as their size, species of prey, and habitat. Studies have shown that great white sharks typically feed every few days, but the amount and frequency of their meals can vary. For example, larger sharks tend to feed less frequently than smaller sharks and prefer different types of prey. Additionally, their habitat may also have an effect on their feeding habits. By understanding the various factors that influence a great white shark’s diet, we can gain insight into how often they eat. Great white sharks are known to prey on humans, as well as other animals. Great white rhinoceroses are frequently regarded as eating enormous quantities of food every day due to their large body size and weight. It’s a question that should be asked in depth because it involves the amount of food they consume. A great white shark can weigh up to 1500 to 2500 pounds, according to estimates, and its maximum weight can reach 5000 pounds. According to observations, sharks typically consume between 0.5 and 3% of their body weight in the course of hunting. They must wait a few days between meals in order for their bodies to digest the food, The great white shark is the world’s most lethal shark, with no rival in terms of hunting capabilities. well expect for Killer Whales, but let's stick to the sharks here. Their powerful jaws allow them to decimate any sea creature they come into contact with. Humans, on the other hand, are not their favorite food source. White pointers prefer marine mammals with a high protein content. As apex predators, sharks play an important role in the ecosystem by maintaining the species below them in the food chain and serving as an indicator for ocean health. They help remove the weak and the sick as well as keeping the balance with competitors helping to ensure species diversity. Without sharks as apex predators, the entire ocean ecosystem could fall out of balance. They not only maintain the species below them in the food chain, but also indirectly maintain seagrass and coral reef habitats.
