Essentially it's a super jump cancel into a block, but the super connects with your character BEFORE the jump animation can happen. So that's why your character is blocking but grounded. Is that right?

1st level magneto: I can do double magic series into hyper grav. 2nd level magneto: I can do the ROM infinite and beat anyone! 3rd level magneto: I never use more than a couple reps of ROM unless I need to assert stage position. It's just a mixup/reset tool. Pro tip: fierce combo is your bread and butter. I do not understand calling Magneto cheap. At least not specifically. The entire top tier has cheap attributes: Storm can choose to never be touched and still be threatening. Zone through all 4 quadrants of the stage, and pretty much always has another option available. Cable can finish your game with a single tap with 3 bars and minimal execution demands. Sentinel has many scenarios where he essentially fearless and can bait a hit to trade until massive damage. He is certainly the most execution intensive of all of them but there's a reason he's pretty much a universal mainstay in all top tier team comps.

Rogue's power drain can also recover red health as a power from certain characters.... definitely worth mentioning for Rogue mains 😉

I don't understand why, let's say with Cable, I jump+shoot the handgun, then as soon as I land on the ground I do either a jump Beam or a jump Hyper Beam, and the opponent character stays in its blocking state even tho I shot the handgun a lot in advance, almost identical to your vid or other videos I saw....I know there is like a delay in between the time you hit the blocking opponent and the time it takes for the <blocking state> to change to <falling state> but I just can't seem to find a way to make it work...the opponent character keeps blocking the hyper beam no matter what I do lol am I missing something??

Pretty ok not buying all these nub tuts but it'll for the next batch of nubsb oddly Doom, Sent, sil sam have exactly the same timings, crouched and standing on mid hsf escapes also slightly different. Cable has a lot along with TK into ahvb assist hit, assist hit scimitar and ground hyper into dhc, there's also guard cancels up close and don't necessarily need to go neutral, tbh it's anyone with a TK into a hyper... Easier raiser than done. I thought that newer guides would have more Things to put out mvc2 may seem friendly to nubs but sill low key Gatekeeped lol Content creator nubs like I dislike the most getting more than better people who actually know stuff. Ur sent sucks btw Ive seen u play somewhere. I feel u try to look good at trying to execute stuff. Why don't u just act like an actual nub man? Ur like thE oldest 17 year old Ive seen on YT

Because the skill levels are close rat doesn't look that hard but dude is a definitely a high level player. I played his team on ranked and I couldn't even kill one character. His sentinel did most of the work and destroyed my team.

hmm yeah, it sounds like it might just be best to get the repetition down so that the muscle memory kicks in. once the muscle memory takes over on the down lk lk, i think you'll be able to focus on super jumping next. keep going :)

I think progress in this game, like most things, is a nonlinear path - sometimes we’re making gradual, small improvements, and other times we’re just collecting and pruning experiential response before suddenly breaking through into a higher plateau - we don’t always know what we know or don’t know about our game, and basing our skill on our results can skew our perception. I think you’re in a great spot to capitalize both on sharing your knowledge and growing as a player by putting out content for that specific crowd, love to hear that plan hit me up if you think I can help with anything and I appreciate the props bro. Hopefully we can dap each other up at fight kingdom 🤓

congrats on the progress! i'll be completely honest, i don't play much Magneto myself so i too could use this kind of advice lol. but essentially the goal with this character is to one touch kill. so you want to refine your execution so well that you can rom to corner and hypergrav tempest until death. that's the perfect scenario but also a LOT of work, so not really realistic when first learning the game. resets can be good but they're not always the best option because they can be blocked if your opponent is expecting it, or they can tech hit if you go for a throw reset. same thing with mix ups after knockdowns. they can always be blocked however they can still be really really good. for best mixup potential, you definitely want to incorporate your assist so that they're also attacking the opponent on wake up. that makes things extra tricky to block. i would suggest that you find 2-3 mixups to practice using each of your favorite assists and alternate between them so that the opponent never knows what to expect. i know this is pretty broad advice but i hope it still helps! feel free to reach out with more questions if you'd like

Yeah but I remember and correct me if I’m wrong, you can dash cancel while drones to get closer to do more combos and finish off opponents.

hey will! when you say dash cancel while drones, are you referring to the QCF + K drones? Or are you referring to his Hyper Sentinel Force super? if you're talking about his drones, you can't control Sentinel before he's done with his animation of sending out his drones. as for his Hyper Sentinel Force, you can dash in between Hyper Sentinel Forces to get closer to your opponent, which i explain at 7:38!

I have played the game back in Dreamcast, Original Xbox, and PS2 days. I havent played MvC2 in decades. Now that Im on PC, I want to check it out on steam and practice on my hitbox im currently building. So I'm no where near you guys level. I'm relearning but i want to use my old trap team from back in the day to see if I still got it. Wow! i feel like a grandpa, I can't remember the moves lol.

ok got it. nah, you can't wave dash during Hyper Sentinel Force. you have to wait until all 3 waves of drones are out before you can control him again. but you can do what's explained at 7:38, that's most likely what you're remembering. good luck getting back into the game, hope my videos help!

yo tegrity. yeah, the standard way to play this game is turbo. and i wouldn't suggest trying to learn to play on anything slower because it's just going to mess you up your timing when you finally try to adjust playing on turbo
