Monstera Deliciosa is the large form you have a Borsigiana. Small form. Both climb but the small a lot more

Hello from Puerto Rico!! I understand the Villosa Cao Dang is no Cao Bang or bong. Mine is struggling. 😞
@marierejoiceinjesus3846Ай бұрын
For monstera, all Thai's are large form and most albos are small form If that helps you imagine size better. Large forms crawl , small forms climb. Large form has tighter internodal spacing.

It’s 3 1/2°C but feels like 0.3 😅. I’m in autumn in Australia (cold climate to most of Australia) I love your collection, I understand your need get rid of a few plants. It’s actually one of the first genus that i started collecting, and I’m falling out of love for the philodendron. (Not all).

I am currently taking a lot of stuff out of my tent and cabinet because you are right, the humidity is going up. It's a good time to get them out to acclimate them to normal home humidity in the North. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.

I do have the Stenophylla. I believe I got 2 cuttings in moss. After one melted I put the plant in a terrarium where it is finally putting on some size. I will try taking it out in maybe a month? Around the same time I purchased that plant I got an insularis, acicularis and englariana. Those plants have both cuttings they came with so they are not in the terrarium. The aciularis is growing crazy fast. All these thin type hoyas are special to me. So quirky to. And easy to manage their size. Loved all your pots you showed even the self watering ones. I am also into pots, but have to many plants to have all really special ones. Thanks for the video.

Right?? I feel like pots have tiers, and you have to be selective which plants get those top tiers ha

Do you sterilize your Leca before using it?
@smallcityplantsАй бұрын
Personally I don't, I do wash it though. I haven't had an issue so far but I do not have a lot of plants solely in LECA and am just really getting into experimenting more with it

How fast do they move? I saw something crawling outside the pot in one that was in quarantine for mealys. but it was very fast.. round and white.
@ahahajulia2 ай бұрын
I am also wondering ! Not sure if they are soil mite or root mealy. Can you let us know how to identify them ?
@smallcityplantsАй бұрын
Absolutely! They move rather slowly (in my opinion, but I'm used to fast-moving beneficial mites), but the the easiest way to identify them is their size - they are much much bigger than soil mites. I often mistake them at first for tiny pieces of perlite but they'll curl up or move when you poke them. They also tend to cluster together on parts of roots - almost like one section of the root has mold until you look closer. For what it's worth, since this video no more root mealies (I hope I didn't just jinx it...)
