I’ve always been fascinated by Jim Henson’s whole multiple persona dynamic. People always think Kermit the Frog was Jim’s alter ego, but I’ve really begun to wonder about that as I’ve gotten older. Kermit was the ultimate comedic “straight man”: on the receiving end of jokes; the thinker; the leader; the organizer…and that seemed to be Henson’s outward presentation of himself. Yet, at the same time, there was this wild, crazy, outgoing dynamic that manifested itself through characters like Rowlf the Dog and Dr. Teeth (and Bip and Mahna-Mahna)…characters who are the polar opposite of Kermit. Maybe those characters were the REAL Jim Henson. I learned that Jim Henson was the voice of Kermit in the mid-80s, so I associated him with smooth-voiced characters (Kermit, Ernie, Nigel et.) Until I saw this clip when it aired, I had no idea that he voiced all those raspy-voiced characters that reflected the OTHER half of his personality. It was actually pretty amazing. Even here…he goes from Kermit to Rowlf…it’s a complete 180.

I always enjoy watching the muppet show, Dinosaurs and Sesame Street Jim Henson legacy still lives on sleep peacefully in heaven Mr Joe Raposo he was an amazing music composer and musical director his music still lives on they both have made magic in children culture.
