It's quite funny that Frank Oz Dave Goelz & Steve Whitmare had to be in character in order to keep us under the impression that their real.

this is brilliant. Kermit at 11:24 is like "Yeah, you did have to remind me of that, didn't you?!"

10:03 Unfortunately, modern audiences don't get to hear it because the BRILLIANT song has been taken out of modern releases for some reason.

I just wish that they would’ve made more Muffet movies as a kid. I loved the Muppets and I wanted to see all the movies but it was kind of hard because really nobody had them. I always thought they were the coolest and I would think that they would be able to keep the show going, but I don’t know they made a new show that I didn’t really get to watch. It looked OK but I just don’t have cable.

Happy New Years!!!

The last little era where the Muppets felt like themselves was the 90's up until around Treasure Island. The spirit of Jim and Frank was still there then. Now? The Muppets aren't themselves anymore.. they're a homogenized brand geared to exclusively 5 year olds. It makes my heart feel funny finding clips like this because I wish the Muppets still existed in their true form... And I know Steve Whitmire was being terrible to work with for YEARS (decades?)... but the Muppets have not felt like the Muppets since they got their Kermit recasting incredibly wrong.

What did Steve do to cause his firing and why was he like that? I could never understand that scenario since I dont know what Steve Whitmire did to be honest that made him get fired to begin with?
@yosefdemby87923 жыл бұрын
@@JojoMonReturns91 Whitmire claims that he didn't like one of the scripts for the 2015 Muppets series, that it was out of Kermit's character. Disney obviously thinks it knows how to handle The Muppets better than one who's been working on the franchise since he was eighteen. And in a recent interview, Frank Oz said that Disney would not give him any creative control, which is why he lamentably is not working on the franchise either.

Disney is very corporate, the problem is their is no writer or producer that keeps the Muppets consistent. After Treasure Island, I think Brian didn't want them anymore.

Brian Henson and Disney claim that, but we don't know the full and true story.

@@patrickmanway290 I don't think Brian didn't want The Muppets. I'm sure he had good reasons. We don't like what Disney does with the Muppets, but let's remember, Jim Henson *wanted* to sell them to Disney before he passed.
