I traded in my 2015 Monster stripe just like this one for the new Monster 937 when it came out in 2021. The 821 was nice but a bit heavy and clunky with a bad turning circle. The new monster feels like your riding an enduro bike it is so nimble and now with a great turning circle. Nice get up and go too.

I'm rocking a set of 2MOER10S since they fit in my application and in theory would be suited to the type of engine and driving I do. They arrived pregapped to .020... or should I say just under that. I'm not sure if they've done that to mitigate any damage to the "on plug ignition coils" since these are low resistance sparkplugs. The car does idle rough and doesn't seem to like them when it comes to spike throttle acceleration. Ease into it, and it's about the only time the engine really comes to life. I'll be trying the Iridium+ next and if I don't get the performance I'm looking for I'll just stick to what I know works. I'm just looking for that little extra umph in power at the top end and I feel there is something in the combustion that can be fine tuned via special/specific sparkplugs. These are definitely better than the ones I tried previous from BriskRacing.

Hi Griz, first time coming across your channel, and i love the build!! I've got a question - on your front brake master cyclinder you have that direct feed from the reservoir with no hose. I have the same set of nissin bodies i want to use on my fzr and would greatly appreciate if you mentioned where you got those direct feed type reservoirs. Apologies if you said this somewhere and i missed it!

Definitely needed to grease the the bearing housings before installing the bearings… However, the brake side wheel bearing must always go in first, right up against the shoulder… install the spacer, then install the sprocket side bearing second… there needs to be clearance between the shoulder and the bearing… in other words, the bearing doesn’t sit up exactly on the shoulder… the distance from the outside of the wheel to the bearing should be about 14mm, and the clearance between shoulder and bearing roughly 0.9mm. The bearing shoulders are actually smaller than the spacer, so if you press the bearings onto the shoulder they won’t spin, and won’t be long before you have to replace them, perhaps the outer bearing will collapse first… but as I said, the right hand bearings always needs to be installed first, that goes for rear and front wheels… Rental make aluminium sprockets, it’s not right for your bike… it won’t last 5 minutes…
